MY WRITING DAY...

Now with a logo.

Today was an extremely busy day. Sadly, very little of it had to do with writing, though. I'm beat and calling it a night early. As always, a more detailed account of today's writing has been posted at my Patreon page.

Road trippin'

Long day on the road. Left at 7 a.m. and got home a little after 9:30 p.m. Spent the day traveling and hanging out with my dad and brother. It was fun, but I'm tired and taking the rest of the rest of the night off.

Sweet dreams.

ENVELOPE ART RETURNS!

I mailed out some cool stuff today so you know what that means... it's envelope art time. Today's envelope sketch features the USS Enterprise at Warp Speed! #StarTrek

The ladies at the Bethlehem Post Office saw me walk in and the first thing they said was "let me see what you've drawn today!" I'm glad they get a kick out of the sketches too.

TODAY'S WRITING JOURNEY...

I was reminded today that I haven't posted much about my writing journey of late. Today was a busy day or writing, approving audio files, setting up podcast appearances, and writing blog posts. I shared a more detailed blog post about today's writing journey in detail over at www.patreon.com/bobbynash

I plan to do at least one post like that one every day, or as close to every day as I can get. Want to know about my day? Got a question you want me to blog about? Please join us at www.patreon.com/bobbynash and get your patron perks.

Thanks for joining me on this journey.

SNOW FALLS ON AUDIO... NARRATOR ANNOUNCED!

I listened to the audio book for my novella, SNOW FALLS over the weekend and the first few chapters of the second Snow title, SNOW STORM today, and they sound great! Here's a sneak peek at the cover art, a close up on the cover art from the book illustrated by the incredible Dennis Calero.

Our narrator on the Snow books is Stuart Gauffi. Stuart is an accomplished narrator and pro. You may have heard him narrating Airship 27's LANCE STAR: SKY RANGER audio books. If not, you should check those out too. We'll also have more on Stuart coming soon. Right now, he is giving a masterful performance on SNOW FALLS and I'm excited for everyone to hear these.

The SNOW FALLS audio book is coming soon from BEN Books. Keep watching this space for more details as they become available.

Happy Monday!

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! SNOW FALLS GETS NEW 4 STAR REVIEW!

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! A BIG THANK YOU to reader Ndeye Labadens for her kind words and 4 STAR Amazon review of SNOW FALLS at www.amazon.com/Snow-Falls-1-Bobby-Nash/dp/1542579856

"I liked the family approach! It is not my usual reading type. However, I appreciate reading the book. I look forward to reading the upcoming series."

Thanks again, Ndeye.

Reviews like this one are always welcome and appreciated. A review is like gold and I'm thrilled every time I receive one. If you've read and enjoyed a book lately, do the author a solid and drop them a review. Trust me, it'll make their day.

I'VE BEEN FRAMED...

I've been framed! What's funny, is seeing them side by side, it looks like Domino Lady stole Rick Ruby's gun. Thanks for sharing this, Rob. I love it.

Reposting Robert McIntyre:
Finally got my artwork by my friend Bobby Nash framed, Rick Ruby & Domino Lady.

Just a reminder that I take commissions. $20 gets you a sketch like one of the two posted here. Drop me an email at bobby@bobbynash.com if interest.

A good, but busy day...

Today was a good, but busy day, but now it's time to call it a night. Had a great day working on a movie this morning and I made great strides on the first BEN Books audio book tonight. Look for more on that soon.

Tomorrow, there are many words that must be written.

I hope you're all having a great weekend.

Bobby

Set Life...

Waiting to go to set.

One of two outfits used for filming today. Look closely. You don't often see me in a tie. I had a great time on set. A fun day with great people.

I'll have more news on the movie when I can share it.

BUT WHAT WERE THEY EATING?

I was honored to be invited to join author Shelley Workinger's Food Fic blog: But What Are They Eating? to talk about the importance of food in my book, 85 NORTH, published by Falstaff Books.

85 North is a collection of short stories. For this blog post, we focused on the title story, 85 North, which deals with a road trip that takes a decidedly strange turn when a routine gas stop turns out to be anything but routine. "It’s loosely based on a true story," says Nash of the tale. "Once the story goes into full horror mode, I embellish a lot, but the inspiration for the story has its roots in the real world and food is a big part of the story."

You can read the full blog post HERE.

Learn more about 85 North HERE and below.

Thanks again, Shelley!

Bobby's Book Review: Jessica Jones "Blind Spot"

Book review. I read and enjoyed the new Jessica Jones trade collection titled "Blind Spot" from Marvel. The creative team of Kelly Thompson and Mattia De Iulis gave us a good Jessica Jones story, an intriguing mystery, and some surprises along the way. Most importantly, they did their own thing and did not try to copy the Bendis/Gaydos team who had spearheaded the series since its inception. I give this one 4 Stars.

My one complaint is that the trade ends with "to be continued..." My fear is for those who pick up the next Jessica Jones trade without knowing it's part 2. Nothing on the cover or spine of "Blind Spot" mentions a volume number or anything. That minor quibble does bug me quite a bit, but that doesn't distract from the story.

Now available at your favorite comic book retailer.
