THE JIM WALL COACHING PODCAST INTERVIEWS AUTHOR BOBBY NASH!

I was the featured artist guest on Jim Wall's Coaching podcast. We had a great conversation on the writing life, being prolific, Snow, sitting in the captain's chair on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, creating characters, themes, tropes, BEN Books, where all these crazy story ideas come from, and so much more.

Sit back, relax, and give it a listen HERE.

You can also find the interview on YouTube HERE.

Thanks again, Jim. That was fun

ENVELOPE ART RETURNS!

I mailed out some cool stuff today so you know what that means... it's envelope art time. Today's envelope sketch features the USS Enterprise at Warp Speed! #StarTrek

The ladies at the Bethlehem Post Office saw me walk in and the first thing they said was "let me see what you've drawn today!" I'm glad they get a kick out of the sketches too.

MIRROR, MIRROR, ON THE WALL...

50 years ago, yesterday, on October 6, 1967, Star Trek "Mirror Mirror" premiered. This episode created one of pop culture's most enduring tropes that is still used today: goatee = evil twin. Thank you, Mr. Spock.

As a goatee'd gent myself, does this mean I'm my own evil twin?

Hmm....

BOLDLY GOING...

Not from their first episode, but these are my favorite TNG-era Starfleet uniforms.
In news that makes me feel old...

27 years ago today on September 28, 1987, Star Trek: The Next Generation premiered! The series continues to live long and prosper on DVD and syndication. I have been fortunate enough to meet most of this cast over the years at conventions. There is a genuine affection you can feel between this group. They're always fun to watch on stage.

Happy Anniversary!

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

I am Bobby of Borg. You will be assimilated. Your life as it has been... is over. Resistance is futile.

Why, yes. I am excited to see Best of Both Worlds on the big screen. Why do you ask?

Star Trek: The Next Generation's season 3 cliffhanger and season 4 premiere is arguably one of the series best stories. In fact, the cliffhanger ending to Best of Both Worlds Part 1 still ranks as one of the greatest cliffhangers of all time. Back in the pre-internet days (back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth) it was a long wait until season 4 returned. We had no idea if Patrick Stewart's Captain Picard would return or how the Enterprise and her crew were going to stop the Borg.

It was a long, torturous wait.

On Thursday, April 25, 2013, for one night only, Fathom Events is showing The Best Of Both Worlds as a feature length film at select theaters across the country as part of the marketing for the new Blu-Ray release of Star Trek: The Next Generation season 3. Completely restored with cleaned up, and in some case brand new, special effects, this is a must see event.

If you've never seen Best of Both Worlds, I highly recommend this. For a nice double feature, follow up with a viewing of Star Trek: First Contact, which is pretty much a sequel to this two-part episode.

I've already got my ticket. See you there.
