WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! ZORRO RIDES TO FIVE STARS!

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! Big thanks to RFsmallPressreview for his kind words and 5 star Amazon review of Zorro's Exploits! You can read it HERE or below.

"Zorro rides again! Purchased this fine anthology for the contribution of Ron Fortier (who supplies one of the wonderful stories), as well as artists Rob Davis and Steve Shipley. On the whole, this is a massive and pleasing volume that captures all avenues of the Zorro myth. If you're a fan, you need this one!"

Thanks again for the review.

TODAY'S WIP!

I had a pretty decent day in the writing office today.

Just finished up a night session. Here's a tease from tonight's WIP:

“Cole Martin was a farmer. He had a small spread north of town. When his crops failed two summers in a row, he went to work in the mines.”

“Then why is it strange seeing him here? Maybe he was working this mine?”

“No.”

“How can you be so certain?”

“Because the last time I saw Cole Martin was at his funeral,” Miss Perth said matter of fact. “Seems a bit strange seeing him walking around again.”

Time for this tired writer to call it a night. Sweet dreams.

STEP-BY-STEP...

I ran across this in an old file today. I did these sketch cards for a charity auction back in 2010. Seems like a lifetime ago. I'd forgotten about them until I saw them so it was a nice trip down memory lane. I wonder how they did in the auction? Anyway, I thought you might enjoy seeing the process from pencil to ink to color.

COWBOYS, MONSTERS, AND GRAPES! OH MY...

H.E.R.B.I.E. the Muse and I are snacking on grapes and writing cowboys & monsters while Snow holds my soda. Not a bad way to make a living. Some of you may recognize a mane or two as I've written these characters before. More on that later. #AmWriting #Focus

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! BOBBY NASH JOINS HAWK OF NEW YORK CREATIVE TEAM!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! I have joined my friend Randy L. Bishop's Hawk of New York comic book series from TimeBound Entertainment beginning with issue #8. Issue #7 is available now. Keep watching this space, www.bobbynash.com, and www.timebound.com for more details as we have them.

Resposting Randy L. Bishop: I am pleased to announce that issue 8 of The Hawk of New York ® has been scripted by none other than the award-winning author (Dark Horse, Moonstone, Ben Books, many more) Bobby Nash !! Production begins on this book immediately, with projected completion in December. If you've not got issue 7 yet, go HERE and Stay Vigilant!

I have known Randy for years and have greatly enjoyed his Hawk of New York comic series. Being invited to be part of crafting the next stage of this story is exciting. As an action-writer, this one hits on all cylinders for me, pun very much intended. Randy has created a fantastic character and world and I am having fun playing in it.

Stay tuned for more news to follow.

WHALLOPIN' WEBSNAPPER! IT'S INTERNATIONAL SPIDER-MAN DAY!

Whallopin' Websnappers! I'm hearing that today is #InternationalSpiderManDay so I thought I would share my #SpiderMan story.

I was first introduced to the ol' webhead via after school reruns of the 1966 cartoon and his appearances on The Electric Company. When I spotted a 3 pack of Spider-Man comic books in the checkout at Zayre's as a kid, I begged my mom to let me get them. She relented, probably just to shut me up, and I discovered comic books that day.

These 3 issues, #s 192, 193, & 194 by Marv Wolfman, Keith Pollard, and Jim Mooney, published by #Marvel Comics, kickstarted my imagination in ways I can't fully explain. They made me want to create my own stories and helped pave the way toward me becoming a writer, for which I will be forever grateful. Aside from #Spidey boing a cool character, this is one of the reasons I would love to write a Spider-Man story one day. Definitely a dream gig.

With great power, must also come-- great responsibility.
