OH MY ACHING HAND...

Oh, my aching hand, indeed. Facebook reminded me that 8 years ago today, I had just finished signing 500 tip in sheets for the limited edition deluxe hardcover edition of #EdgarRiceBurroughs #AtTheEarthsCore graphic novel I worked on with artist Jamie Chase. It was published by Sequential Pulp Comics and Dark Horse Comics.

A fond memory. I'm so proud of the work we did on this book.

It's a bit hard to find these days, though there are copies floating around out there in the wild. I have a small stack I recently found that I take to cons. There were plans for adapting the second book, and we had started work on it, but alas, it was not to be.

UPDATED! EXCITING READS: ATHENS GRAPHIC NOVELISTS PANEL AND GALLERY!

I had a great time hanging out with comic book creators James Burns, John Pence, Jadin Fielteau, David Mack, Adilene Padilla, and Joey Weiser at the Athens-Clarke County Library in Athens, GA today for Exciting Reads: Athens Graphic Novelists. We had a great panel and discussion. Our work appears in a comic art gallery on display at the library through June 30th. You should check it out if you're in the area. If not, here are some photos.

I had a great day. It was long and I'm tired, but also invigorated. Hanging out and talking with creative people is always great motivation.

PREPPING FOR FREE COMIC BOOK DAY AND THE ATHENS GRAPHIC NOVEL DAY!

My contributions to the comics and graphic novel exhibit for the Athens-Clarke County Library are all put together and ready to be delivered tomorrow and installed. Included are 6 comic pages along with the script for that page. There are also a few of my envelope art pieces and an R.O. in the mix.

The gallery will officially open this Saturday, May 6th along with panel discussions with writers, artists, and publishers from 3pm - 4pm with reception afterward. The gallery will be open to the public throughout the month. I hope to see you there on Saturday. Learn more HERE.
