MEET ME THIS WEEKEND AT CONCAROLINAS!
Join me this weekend at ConCarolinas (June 1 - 3) in Charlotte, NC. I will be set up at Table #2 in Author Alley and will also be doing panels. Stop by and say hello.
My panel schedule:
FRIDAY, JUNE 1
9:00 pm - Superheroes in the Modern Day
Superheroes have been popular for decades, but society changes and our heroes need to, as well. What do we want from our superheroes now, that might be different from decades ago? How can superhero writers create characters that reflect the diversity of the population?
SATURDAY, JUNE 2
11:00 am - Live Action Collaboration
Come watch our writing teams collaborate on a character and topic the audience throws at them.
2:00 pm - The Novella Strikes Back!
The novella fell out of fashion several years back, but is now making a comeback in this time of e-readers and digital publication. Let's explore the benefits and costs off novella writing, and why it is an option novelists should consider.
3:00 pm - Being Prolific or Is Rapid Release Bulls&%t?
How fast do you NEED to release books to make a living? Once upon a time it took years for books to be released, but these days, readers are demanding we write as fast as they can consume. Our panel talks about whether or not you need to release a book every fifteen minutes to make money.
4:30 pm - Author Reading with Bobby Nash
9:00 pm - Off With Her Head!
There’s no way around it – sometimes a character has to die. Should you use poison, a blade, fire? What’s the surest method? How long will it take for him to die? Let’s talk about the nitty-gritty of killing off characters.
I hope to see you there.

BOBBY AND THE NEEDLESS THINGS PODCAST CREW TRAVELS TO MONGO WITH FLASH GORDON!
Needless Things episode 214: Flash Gordon Needless Commentary:
Part of an ongoing series – the Needless Things Irregulars gather in the Phantom Zone to provide their own unique commentary on classic genre films! This time, we're reviewing FLASH GORDON!
1980's Flash Gordon holds a place of esteem in the annals of sci-fi cinema. Not because of Max von Sydow's spectacular portrayal of Ming the Merciless. Not for the electric soundtrack by masters of rock Queen. Not even for the heart-quickening sights of Timothy Dalton in tights and Brian Blessed in leather panties. No, Flash Gordon is part of an elite group of movies that shaped the very persona of the founder of Needless Things, Dave West. This prestigious group includes such classics as Swamp Thing,Alligator, and Robert Altman's Popeye. These were just a few of the movies available on the broadcast marvel known as HBO during Dave's formative years.
Listen in as for the first time ever and in the company of the irrepressible Mike Gordon and the award-winning Bobby Nash, the Needless Things Irregulars (Dave, Arian, and The Rad Ranger) experience FLASH A-AH! He'll save every one of us!
You can find Needless Things Podcast episode 214 – Flash Gordon Needless Commentary HERE.

A western adventure
Danger on the open plain! Award-Winning Author Bobby Nash brings together two terrifying tales from the world's greatest frontier... The Wild West!
SHADOWS ON THE HORIZON reminds us that the most dangerous monsters to roam the Wild West isn't mystical or supernatural, but man himself. ol' Doc Brand is reminded that no good deed goes unpunished when he helps a wounded stranger and gets more than he bargained for in the process.
RATTLED then reminds us that man is not alone in the wilderness. Nor is man always the most dangerous. Young Jim Bonner is about to come face to face with his worst nightmare.

"It's a difficult thing for a writer to show a love for an influence without becoming a copy or a pastiche of it. But in SNOW, Bobby Nash basically teaches a tutorial in that hard-to-get-a-hold-of skill. If you don't hear a '70s TV detective theme song in the back of your head while reading, you're reading it wrong. This is a grade-A work by a writer hitting his stride and hitting it hard."
--Sean Taylor, author of Show Me A Hero, Gene Simmons' Dominatrix
About Snow Falls:
“Sometimes half an inch is all that stands between life and death.”
--Sean Taylor, author of Show Me A Hero, Gene Simmons' Dominatrix
About Snow Falls:
After a near fatal encounter while deep undercover in South America, Abraham Snow retires from his work as a government operative, moving in with his grandfather during his recuperation. Once there, however, Abraham realizes that his grandfather has an ulterior motive: He wants Abraham to join the family business, Snow Security Consulting.
Abraham, however, soon learns that working with his family can be just as treacherous as deep cover work - especially when caught in the crossfire between his father and grandfather. But when an assassination plot against a visiting dignitary puts the entire family at risk, Abraham must use all of his talents and contacts to keep them safe.
SNOW FALLS is the first book in the continuing adventures of Abraham Snow.

SNOW DRIVE BRINGS HOME ANOTHER 5 STAR READER REVIEW!
WE LOVE READER REVIEWS!
A BIG THANK YOU to John Kilgallon for his kind words and nice 5 STAR Amazon review of SNOW DRIVE.
"Third in the Snow series from Bobby Nash, "Snow Drive" is a fast paced action-er with lots of character moments and NASCAR. Did I say NASCAR? Yep. The main plot is to solve sabotage occurring to a racing team at Atlanta Motor Speedway. While the main plot is interesting enough, there are also continuing elements from the earlier two books involving the Ortega cartel. One of the fun parts of the book is the development of Big John Salmon. He's Archer Snow's personal driver and mechanic, best friend to Abraham Snow, the main character. We learn NASCAR was a dream for him, one that crashed and burned when he went to prison for auto theft. Lots of moments as he tries to empathize with Beau Chambers, the bad boy of the Chambers Race Team. Again, a great, fast read and highly recommended. Looking forward to the next Snow adventure!"
Thanks again, John. The kind words are much appreciated.
Now, I need to get that darn SNOW TRAPPED book finished.

5 STARS FOR SHADOWS ON THE HORIZON
A Big Round O' Thanks to author Darrell Grizzle for his amazing 5 STAR review of my latest release, Shadows on the Horizon. Now on sale in paperback and ebook from BEN Books! Get yours today! You can read the full review HERE or below.
"Two very different Western stories from a master of pulp fiction! The first, Shadows on the Horizon, is a traditional Old West tale of betrayal and vengeance. The main character, Doc Brand, has reinvented himself after a violent past and finds himself reinventing himself again. I hope we see more stories about John Brand! The second story, Rattled, is a Weird West horror story that genuinely gave me the creeps in its description of a den of rattlesnakes that turns out to be more than meets the eye. The collection ends with a short essay on Westerns by Bobby Nash. Recommended for fans of Westerns and horror!"
Thanks again, Darrell. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. It means a lot.

THE OSI FILES RECAPS "SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST"
I had a great time talking with The OSI Files' John S. Drew and Ken Holtzhouser on Facebook live. We discussed The Six Million Dollar Man's 2nd episode, "Survival of the Fittest." Give it a watch HERE.
I had a few connectivity issues (the downside of using hotel wifi, I suppose)
About "Survival of the Fittest": A plane carrying Oscar and Steve crashes in the ocean and the survivors make it to a deserted island. But Oscar is uneasy as he knows his life is in danger and the assassin out to get him may still be among the survivors.
Look for the audio podcast in a day or so.

THE WRAP UP-- A FULL WEEKEND: FREE COMIC BOOK DAY AND WHOLANTA!
I had an absolutely amazing day yesterday.
It was an early start as I took a road trip to Kingdom Comics in Alabama for Free Comic Book Day, which, as always, continues to be an amazing event. Stan Daniels and his crew put on an amazing FCBD event and I was thrilled to be part of it. I had a lot of fun with friends both old and new, which is always a nice bonus. My Birmingham appearances are always great fun. My only regret is I didn't get a photo of my table.
After returning to Atlanta, I stopped by WHOlanta briefly and hung out after hours with friends. There were many laughs shared. A great cap to the day hanging out with wonderful people. We were having so much fun I never even thought about snapping a photo or two.
This morning got off to a great start as well with an appearance on The Chronic Rift talking about one of my favorite mini-series, V (full story to follow, but here's the link).
