#THESUMMEROFSNOW PRESENTS A SNOW BUSINESS SNEAK PEEK!

I went with my Dad to a doctor's appointment today and... horror upon horrors, I forgot my phone. Whatever was I to do during that two hour wait without internet access? The horror! I was doomed to boredom or napping! What to do? Then, I remembered a bit from history where writers used paper and ink pens to write so today, I went old school and did some work on Secret Agent X Legacy (almost finished) and Snow Business. #TheSummerofSnow continues... consider this your first Snow Business sneak peek. We're shooting to release this one in August, God willing (and the creeks don't rise, as my Dad likes to say).

TODAY'S WRITING JOURNEY...

I was reminded today that I haven't posted much about my writing journey of late. Today was a busy day or writing, approving audio files, setting up podcast appearances, and writing blog posts. I shared a more detailed blog post about today's writing journey in detail over at www.patreon.com/bobbynash

I plan to do at least one post like that one every day, or as close to every day as I can get. Want to know about my day? Got a question you want me to blog about? Please join us at www.patreon.com/bobbynash and get your patron perks.

Thanks for joining me on this journey.

BOBBY'S RIVER CITY COMIC EXPO PULP ARK PANEL SCHEDULE RELEASED!

Join me at the River City Comic Expo on June 11th - 12th in Little Rock, Arkansas. There are some great guests attending and a good time will be had by all.

This is also the only con where the Operation: Silver Moon team of Bobby Nash & Rick Johnson will be appearing together so don't miss your opportunity to meet us both and get your book signed. I also understand that Rick will have original art from the book for sale as well.

If that wasn't enough, this is also the only con where Bobby Nash and Rob Davis will appear together this year. Not only is Rob the art director for Airship 27 Productions, but he handled artwork on anthologies featuring my work, including Secret Agent X Vol. 4 and Lance Star: Sky Ranger vol. 2.

Tommy Hancock will also be on hand. He has edited and/or published several stories of mine over the years. This is also our only joint appearance scheduled for this year.

I hope to see you at the con.

SECRET AGENT X GETS A NEW 5 STAR AMAZON REVIEW!

Big thanks to reader James Blakely for his great Amazon review of Airship 27's Secret Agent "X" Vol 4. Much appreciated, sir.

SAX Art: Rob Davis
A bit from the review:
MOUNTAIN MEN OF THE LOST VALLEY is the lead-off story and my favorite. Secret Agent X plays an old style James Bond-type character, as he must escape from a Soviet Era Kiev with encrypted secret tape and no back-up. But no sooner than he escapes the frying pan does "X" land in the fire, ironically in the Swiss Alps, when what he hopes is a peaceful train ride home is fraught with peril from a lost civilization of "mountain men." This story is loaded with thrills and plenty of fisticuffs and slight of hand from "X." Plus, there's a nice twist ending that few will see coming.

Thanks again.

AIRSHIP 27 presents ALL STAR PULP COMICS # 2
(Portion of Profits Goes to Boston Red Cross)

Airship 27 Productions has once again teamed with Redbud Studio comics to release the second in their on-going pulp comics anthology.  The first giant issue in this series won the coveted Pulp Ark Award for Best Pulp Comic of 2010.

Volume two of the series, co-edited by creators Ron Fortier and Rob Davis, is even bigger than that stellar premier issue.  Contained here are eight stories featuring both modern and classic pulp heroes; Ki-Gor the Jungle Lord, the Black Bat, Cain, Robin Hood, Lance Star, Brothers Bones, Dillon and Domino Lady.

The cover is by Will Meugniot and features Ki-Gor’s lovely mate, Helene, battling back to back with Derrick Ferguson’s modern day adventurer, Dillon.  Other creators represented are Russ Anderson, Fortier, Davis, Ian Watson, Thomas Deja, Michelle Sciuto, Sean Taylor, Aaron Meade, Todd Jones, Lee Oaks, James Gaubatz, Van Plexico,
Andrew Salmon and Kelly Everaert.

Lance Star: Sky Ranger
The book is available from Indy Planet.com and part of the proceeds are being donated to the Boston Red Cross.  “We were the last stages of assembling the book,” explains Editor Foriter, “when the Patriots’ Day bombings occurred in Boston.  All of us, like the rest of the country, were in shock and felt helpless to do anything.”  It was writer Van Plexico who contacted Fortier about possibly offering some of the sales proceeds to help those injured in the terror attack.  “The second Van brought up, I knew it was something we had to do,” Fortier continues.  He contacted Davis and all the creators and the decision was made to take all the profits earned by the book during its first six months in print and donate them to the Boston Red Cross.

“We truly hope our fans, when they learn of this idea, will want to rally around a truly good cause and help us put sales over the top,” adds co-editor Rob Davis.  “We really want this to be the best selling title Redbud Studio has ever produced.”

BOBBY CROSSES OVER!!!

It starts here...
Cool. A couple of my stories got mentioned on Sean Lee Levin's The Crossover Universe blog. How do Secret Agent X and Lance Star: Sky Ranger crossover? Find out here.

Thanks to Sean for including these in the Crossover Universe Blog. I love it when I'm able to crossover characters and stories. I do it whenever I can. I’ll have to write up a nice blog post about it. I have several background characters that have appeared in books in multiple timelines so we’ve gotten to see them grow and age and see what they’ve been up to. Plus, Evil Ways' FBI Agent Harold Palmer has a connection to Lance Star: Sky Ranger and The New Adventures of The Eagle as his grandfather, a G-man, makes appearances in both.

It gets revisited here.
The crossovers are fun Easter Eggs for those who have read multiple stories I’ve written. Think of them as a nice bonus.

See you over there.

SECRET AGENT X SPOTTED IN MASSACHUSETTS

Check out this photo sent to me by my friend, Mike Gordon, when he visited Larry's Comics in Lowell, MA today. Very cool. I’m excited to see Secret Agent X Vol. 4 in stores. I wrote a story in this volume.

Bobby

Here’s the information on Secret Agent X Vol. 4:

2013 PULP ARK NOMINEE - BEST PULP REVIVAL

AMERICA’S ACE SPY RETURNS

Airship 27 Productions is thrilled to announce the release of the fourth volume in their best selling pulp series; Secret Agent X – Man of a Thousand Faces.

The greatest pulp spy of them all, Secret Agent X returns in four brand new adventures. Continuing the excitement and thrills generated by the previous three volumes in this series, the Man of a Thousand Faces is back in four daring adventures written by today’s most talented pulp writers.

“Since starting Airship 27, Secret Agent X has been our flagship series,” explains Managing Editor Ron Fortier. “Pulp fans just love this golden age spy and every time we put out a new book they not only rush to get a copy but they instantly begin clamoring for more of his exciting new adventures. Pulps fans just can’t get enough of Secret Agent X and we’re only too happy to provide them with more.”

Deep in mountains of central Europe, Bobby Nash pits X against a deadly beast-man with a special agenda while Jarrod Courtemanche has the master spy confronting a scientist who controls fears. In a one of a kind cross-over, Agent X confronts one of the most nefarious pulp villains of them all, Fantamos, courtesy of Kevin Noel Olson and finally Frank Schildiner chronicles one of our hero’s earliest missions alongside the famed Sir Lawrence of Arabia in the burning sands of the Sahara.

“This is by far the most eclectic collection we’ve released thus far,” added Fortier. The book features twelve interior illustrations by Art Director & Company Designer Rob Davis with a terrific cover by Davis and Shane Evans. It is their second artistic collaboration on this highly popular series.

Dedicated to the protection of his country, the master of disguises, America’s top secret agent is in wavering his loyalty and courage as he once against takes on villainy in all its myriad forms. He is the one and only Secret Agent X!

WHAT I WROTE IN 2012!

Pulling together an eligibility list for the 2013 Pulp Ark Awards got me wondering just what work of mine was published in 2012. So I made a list of books published in 2012 featuring my work.

Typed up like this it doesn’t look like all that much. The biggest shock to me was that I had no new comic book work appear in 2012. I worked on some comic scripts, but as yet they have not reached publication stage.

Anyway, it’s an interesting list.

NOVEL

Evil Ways (BEN Books)

Earthstrike Agenda (BEN Books)

NOVELLA

Samaritan (BEN Books)

SHORT STORY/ANTHOLOGY

“The One That Got Away”
Nightbeat: Night Stories (Radio Archives)

“Mountain Men of the Lost Valley”
Secret Agent X Vol. 4 (Airship 27 Productions)

“The Gauntlet”
Green Hornet Still at Large (Moonstone Books)

“Lights! Camera! Sabotage!”
The New Adventures of The Eagle! (Pro Se Productions)

“Where There’s Smoke...”
Tales of The Rook Vol. 1 (Pro Se Productions)

“The Case of The Wayward Brother”
The Ruby Files Vol. 1 (Airship 27 Productions)

“Moon Girl: Blood Moon”
Golden Age Good Girls (Mini Komix)

And, as I’m not one to let a huckstering opportunity pass me by, please feel free to check out any of these books in the tabs above. All are still available for purchase.
