NEW PACKAGE ART...

I dropped a book in the mail ordered from my store so that means it's time for new box art. #Nightveil doesn't like it when you bend packages.

Want some box art of your very own? Just order something from my store HERE.

SNOW ART UPDATE!

#TheSummerofSnow rolls on with a closer look at Jeffrey Hayes' work on the Snow cover/poster art. This is just one corner of the image. I love it!

Bobby

From Jeffrey Hayes: Work continues on Bobby Nash's "Snow" promotional poster / book cover, so here is this week's sneak peek. This image is the lower left quadrant of the piece and features Snow chasing an armored Jeep that just has to be stopped. Looks like it will happen after a few well-placed rounds from an ally in the air. Check back next week for more sneak peeks of the work in progress. #thesummerofsnow

I WONDER...

Wonder Woman commission for a customer who picked up a Bobby's Big Box O' Books Bundle. I figure you can't go wrong with playing 'bullets and bracelets' although there are a whole lot of unnecessary lines on her new costume.

Want to get a sketch of your own, 7 autographed books, and a DVD? Or, do you know someone else who might enjoy this as a gift? Hit up Bobby's Big Box O' Books Bundle HERE.

I'VE BEEN FRAMED...

I've been framed! What's funny, is seeing them side by side, it looks like Domino Lady stole Rick Ruby's gun. Thanks for sharing this, Rob. I love it.

Reposting Robert McIntyre:
Finally got my artwork by my friend Bobby Nash framed, Rick Ruby & Domino Lady.

Just a reminder that I take commissions. $20 gets you a sketch like one of the two posted here. Drop me an email at bobby@bobbynash.com if interest.

THE RETURN OF... ENVELOPE ART!

Mailing out some books and commissions this so you know what that means... that's right, it's Envelope Art Time! I love to sketch so these are a lot of fun.

Envelope Art #1: The Joker

Envelope Art #2: The Human Torch
The lady at the Post Office asked if they had ever burned a package before so I had to explain to her who the character is and the joke.

Want some one of a kind envelope art of your own? All you have to do is order some books or a sketch commission direct from me and it's a good bet there will be some scribbles on the envelope.

FEELING A BIT ARTSY...

I worked on a commission piece tonight featuring my favorite pulp adventuress, The Domino Lady. I'm not always thrilled with how I draw female character faces so I've been practicing. This one came out pretty good, I think. DL plays a mean game of dominoes. I left the commissioners name off.

And you know I can't send out a package without doodling on the envelope. The lady at the post office gets a kick out of them. The Flash is here to remind the Post Office to please do not send this envelope.

What do you think?

I love doing commissions. I don't get to do them as often as I'd like, but they're fun. If you're interested in one of your own, hit me up and we'll make it happen. Rates are pretty cheap, comparatively.

#WRITERPROBLEMS

I don't really have what you might call major #writerproblems, but it is a popular hashtag so we'll see if it leads any folks here. Today's post is a few assorted odds and ends I posted to social media and wanted to share here as well.

First off, I started doing that most writerly of duties... cleaning the office. It's amazing how cluttered my writing space can become. It's also amazing what treasures you find when cleaning the office. Notes from stories and podcasts from almost 4 years ago. No wonder that bottom shelf was so dusty. Like I said, #writerproblems Ha!

There is so much truth in this. Believe me.

Hey, Netflix! Just an FYI. My catalog and I can also be bought. Just putting that out there in case you're still browsing.

Lastly, here's a thing I made. This is Al. Al needs reviews and so does your favorite author. Please take a moment to leave a review for the last book you enjoyed. It only takes a moment and can be as easy as "I liked this book. 4 stars!" Won't you help? It costs you nothing, but means the world to the creators involved. Thank you. We now return you to your regularly scheduled social media, already in progress.

Have a great day.

A COOL PIECE OF ART!

I have awesome friends. Thanks to my pal, Buddy for this cool piece of art called "Domino" that reminds me of a pulpy crime fighter of my acquaintance. The artist is Billie Dupree of Birmingham, AL.

I love it. It's now hanging in my office.

Thanks again, Buddy.

THE WRITER AT WORK...

I finished up the sketch for my January Patreon winner, James Burns. He requested a sketch of me, which is a first for me. I did draw myself thinner though. If only dieting in real life was so easy. Ha! Ha! It'll be winging its way to you this week, James.
www.patreon.com/BobbyNash is the place to be to get in the drawing for the free drawing.

SUPPORT CREATORS THIS BLACK FRIDAY WEEKEND!

Black Friday and Small Business Saturday are both excellent times to support independent creators. You see them all over social media; writers, artists, musicians, actors, crafters, filmmakers, and more. Take some of that money you're saving on the deals at the big box stores and support creativity this Black Friday. You'll not only get something cool and unique, but you'll support the arts, and make a creator's day a little brighter in the process. Isn't that what this season is all about?

SHAZAM! 1ST PATREON SKETCH GIVEAWAY REVEALED!

I will be sending out my first Patreon sketch reward tomorrow. September's winner, Little John requested Captain Marvel so with a mighty SHAZAM!, here's the Big Red Cheese himself plus a special cameo wormed it's way in. That darn lightning bolt was the most difficult part, by the way. I had the hardest time getting it to cooperate.

I hope you like it, man.

If you'd like to get in the running for the monthly art giveaway, pledge $5 or more at my Patreon page here and you'll be in the running each month.

A COLD AND LONELY PLACE TO DIE...

Art by Sergio Ibañez
Art by Sergio Ibañez
One of the coolest parts of writing comics is seeing the art come into my inbox. I can't say anything about the upcoming book this art was created for or what character(s) are used, but here are a couple of spoiler-free snippets I just wanted to show off.

The art is by Sergio Ibañez.

Stay tuned for more information as soon as I can share it.

COVERED IN TEASES!

Cover Art: Jeff Hayes
Pro Se Productions’ head honcho, Tommy Hancock shared the above cover tonight on the official Pro Se Facebook page. I am one of the authors involved with this project. I can't say much more than that yet. You’ll have to wait until the publisher releases the full details.

I’ll keep you posted.

Stay tuned.

A Pro Se Productions tease…
One of the most exciting pieces of news out of 2013 was the acquisition of a license that has seen life primarily in the comics and will be making its Pro Se debut in prose by a hot handful of great authors, including its creator, in mid 2014. Take a gander at a character study Pro Se artist Jeff Hayes worked up as he crafted the cover for this most awesome of collections... coming soon from Pro Se Productions.

NEED AN AIRSTRIKE? CALL IN THE SKY RANGERS!

"You heard the man, Rangers!"
Operation Silver Moon is a graphic novel project currently in production and written by Bobby Nash with art/tones by Rick Johnson. In this sneak peek page from the book, set during World War II, a certain group of air aces makes a cameo appearance. When an air strike is called in over hostile territory, the War Department sends in their best pilots-- The Sky Rangers, under the command of Captain Lance Star.

"I can't say enough great things about Rick's art or the man himself," said Bobby Nash of his collaborator on this project. "Rick has been a great partner on this project and has become a great friend in the process. I'm excited to unveil Operation Silver Moon in 2014."

Check out this fantastic double page spread above and another page at left from the upcoming Operation Silver Moon graphic novel with art and tones by the amazing Rick Johnson. The story is by some guy named Nash.

I can't say enough great things about Rick's art or the man himself. He has been a great partner on this project and has become a great friend in the process. I'm excited to unveil Operation Silver Moon in 2014.
