LANCE STAR AND THE CROWN OF GENGIS KAI
A Pulp Adventure Novella

This all-new Lance Star: Sky Ranger adventure from author Bobby Nash is pure action-packed pulp fiction from start to finish as he takes Lance Star and fellow Sky Ranger, Buck Tellonger on a journey around the world into a seedy island nation run by a corrupt dictator where they face off against secret police squads, smugglers, pirates, and maybe even a mythological monster or two. This one’s got everything, my friends, including a volcano on the verge of eruption, because, of course there is.

If you’re looking for non-stop action and adventure, Lance Star: Sky Ranger has your ticket to fly!

Cover/Interior Art by James Burns.

THE FACE OF FEAR - WEIRD SOUTH MAGAZINE #1
Story/Pencils: Bobby Nash. Inks: Jeff Austin.

THE FACE OF FEAR is a two-page story Bobby Nash and Jeff Austin put together for an anthology project called Weird South in the 90’s.

Weird South was hosted by Dixie Macabre, a character created and designed by Jeff, who was the brains behind this anthology. Dixie appeared at the beginning and end of each story, and sometimes in the middle. For Bobby's two-page story, she appeared at the beginning and end of each page and served as the narrator as well. The first two pages below are the edited version that ran in the book. "My only complaint, in terms of the edits was that the last line, which was the thing that tied it together wasn't used, which makes the final panel seem out of place," Bobby said of the edited version.

The second set is the unedited version, as originally written.

FREE COMIC STRIP - ONYX - Story and Art: Bobby Nash. Inks: Jeff Austin.
Pencils/Colors: Bobby Nash. Inks: Jeff Austin
Artist Jeff Austin and I created the comic strip ONYX for a local kid’s magazine back in the 1990s. This time I handled the writing and the pencils and Jeff served as inker, although embellisher might be a better word. My pencils were very rough. Jeff decided to leave the strip so I wrapped up the story a little faster than I had originally planned, but I think it was a fun story. I love comic strips and would love to do more. If only I was a better artist. Enjoy.

A total of 21 strips were created and they are pasted below. Click on each for a larger view.

FREE SHORT STORY - LITTLE LAMB AND BLACK SHEEP by Bobby Nash.
Illustrations by Jeff Austin.

My favorite panel from the 1st comic script. Sad this never got finished.
Little Lamb and Black Sheep was created by Jeff Austin and I way back when (some time int he early 90's). I actually wrote several comic book scripts, but sadly only part of the first one was drawn before other projects pulled Jeff away from this project and we never seemed to get back to it. I later wrote this short story to appear in Odyssey Magazine and Jeff added some illustrations to it. I miss Little Lamb and Black Sheep. They were a lot of fun.

Enjoy.
