BUSY DAY. AN "IN THE WIND" UPDATE!

Busy day. So far today, I have written 3 story pitches, did some admin work, and am now writing the next chapter in my Patreon serialized novella, "In The Wind" which is a crime thriller published a chapter at a time at www.patreon.com/bobbynash. If all goes well, the next chapter will post tonight or tomorrow.

Bobby

About "In The Wind" a Sheriff Tom Myers crime/thriller:
An FBI/US Marshals safe house is attacked. Four agents are dead, two other are in critical condition. The safe house is in flames and the federal witness they were protecting is on the run. Now it's up to Sommersville Sheriff Tom Myers and his deputies to find the missing witness before his criminal pals he was to testify against find him first. It's a race against the clock through undeveloped Sommersville County. Who will find him first?

You can catch up on the story so far at www.patreon.com/bobbynash Subscriptions start as low as $1 a month and helps keep the writing machine running, especially in this rough year where convention revenue has been lost. $5 enrolls you in the ebook of the month club.

THE PATREON-EXCLUSIVE SERIALIZED NOVELLA CONTINUES - IN THE WIND CHAPTER 9!

A new chapter of "In The Wind" the new serialized novella starring Sommersville, GA Sheriff Tom Myers by Bobby Nash is now available.

Welcome to week 10 of In The Wind, a Sheriff Tom Myers mystery.

The story so far: The Manhunt Continues! The Sommersville County Sheriff's Department, under the leadership of Sheriff Tom Myers widen the search even as they investigate the hired killers they faced off with in the previous chapter. One thing is clear, the task force and sheriff's department are not the only ones searching for Bates Hewell, the missing witness who is believed lost in the wilds of undeveloped Sommersville. Finding him will not be easy, but if they don't find him first, those out to kill him will. It's a race against the clock as "In The Wind" continues.

Join the manhunt in the new Patreon-exclusive BEN Books novella, "In The Wind" starring Sheriff Tom Myers and his deputies (as seen in Evil Ways and Deadly Games!), FBI Agent Tom McClellan (as seen in the Snow series), and U.S. Federal Marshal William Teague (who will also appear in the upcoming Evil Intent novel).

The opening chapter of "In The Wind" is FREE to read. Other chapters, like this one, are available only to patrons until it is completed and released by BEN Books in 2020. If you have friends that might enjoy this story, please share chapter 0 with them and invite them to subscribe. You can find Chapter 0 here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/31353775

Just a head's up! IN THE WIND is an adult suspense/thriller. There will be some murder, death, mayhem, and terror taking place in this story. There may even be some cussing and sex too. Please be aware of that going in. If it were a movie, I suspect it would have an R rating, maybe PG-13. You've been warned.

Become a patron of the arts today by subscribing to my Patreon page. Subscriptions start as low as $1 a month, which gets you the serialized novels, behind the scenes information, an almost daily blog, freebies, and more. $5 a month enrolls you in the ebook of the month club. MAMA TRIED TO GET 5 STARS! SHE SUCCEEDED!

Big outlaw thanks to Paul R. McNamee for leaving a great 5 STAR review for the MAMA TRIED crime anthology published by Down and Out Books. Much appreciated. Read the full review at HERE.

MAMA TRIED is a strong and inspired crime fiction anthology with variety
Joe Lansdale prefaced one of his most famous horror stories with a note that is was "a story that does not flinch."

Although Lansdale is not in this anthology, I think that concept and spirit permeate this anthology. These stories do not flinch. They dig into criminal worlds, telling taut stories that kept me engaged throughout.

As you can see from the cover, each story here is inspired by a classic "outlaw country" song - whether by title alone or riffing on the lyrics as well. The tales run the gamut from law enforcement point-of-view to criminal p.o.v. Criminals within criminals, good cops who might use questionable methods, meth biker gangs, alpaca farms, dog fights, booze running, war veterans, jobs and drug deals gone wrong, lovers who are no good for one another - they're all here. One of the anthology's strongest points is its variety.

These nineteen tales of inspired outlawry are well worth the read, especially if you enjoy crime fiction and/or outlaw country.

I had a great time working on this one.

THE RUBY FILES RE-OPENS IN 2017! VOL. 2 ANNOUNCED!

Step into the seedy underbelly with New Pulp's #1 P.I., Rick Ruby in the award-winning The Ruby Files Vol. 1 from Airship 27 Productions in paperback and ebook. Volume 2 is coming soon!

Vol. 1 Cover Art:
Mark Wheatley
Gangsters and Gun Molls! It was the 1930's and America was locked in the grip of the Great Depression. Gangsters controlled the major cities while outlaws roamed the rural back country. It was a time of Speak Easy gin-joints, Tommy-guns, fast cars and even faster dames. This is the world of New York based Private Investigator Rick Ruby, a world he is all too familiar with. From the back alleys of Gotham to the gold laden boulevards of Hollywood, Ruby is the shamus with a nose for trouble and an insatiable appetite for justice. So if you’ve got a taste for hot lead and knuckle sandwiches, tug your cuffs, adjust your fedora and light up a Lucky, a brand new pulp detective is coming your way. Created by pulp masters, Bobby Nash & Sean Taylor, Rick Ruby echoes the tales of Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe while offering up his own brand of two-fisted action. Joined by fellow pulp smiths Andrew Salmon & William Patrick Maynard, these modern scribes of purple prose present a quartet of tales to delight any true lover of private eye fiction.

The Ruby Files Vol. 2 is coming soon! Series creators Sean Taylor and Bobby Nash return with new stories and are joined by author Ron Fortier and Alan J. Porter. Interior illustrations provided by Nik Poliwko. Cover by Mark Wheatley.

Here's a sneak peek at vol. 2. Click on the images or open in new page for a larger view.

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! SNOW STORM GETS A 5 STAR REVIEW!

We love reader reviews! A BIG THANK YOU to Logan Proudfoot for the nice 5 STAR review of Snow Storm on Amazon. Read the full review here

Two Fisted Prose: Art for The Damned!
This is the 2nd book in Nash's Abraham Snow ouvre and it doesn't fail to deliver. The characters are lush, vibrant and real, the pacing pitch perfect and the action breathless.

Author Bobby Nash excells where so many other writers fail, he immerses himself in the waters of pulp fiction like a hard boiled sinner and emerges as a baptized revivalist, a gifted, insightful artist with a sardonic voice more befitting the classics than crime fiction.

Seldomnly does a writer transcend genre fiction with this sort of artistic abandon, this sort of zeal. Two fisted prose of this Ilk belongs alongside the works of Hemingway, Chekov, Kerouac and Nabikov.

WOW. Thanks again, Logan. Reviews are always appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to write and I'm glad you enjoyed Snow Storm.
