ONE DOOR CLOSES...

One door closes...

Today marks the end of a chapter of my life as I bid farewell to my corporate day job of 2 years. Or, rather, I should say it bid farewell to me. Originally, I was supposed to leave on July 1st as part of a layoff, but was asked to stay to help with a project, but now my time has come to an end there. It was a small chapter in the grand scheme of things, but I am once again a full-time writer, at least for the foreseeable future until I can get one or both of my parents back into driving shape.

For publishers that have been waiting on me, I appreciate your patience and will be diving headfirst into catching up several delayed writing projects and catching up on deadlines starting next week. There's a lot to do that will keep me busy the next several months.

But first, I head out to Dragon Con tomorrow. DC is 5 days of joyful geeky madness that I absolutely love. Can't wait to spend the weekend with roughly 60,000 or so of my closest peeps.

Let the adventure begin.

The Stepson of Mystery, Ravenwood returns in a brand new series of weird adventures, beginning with this audiobook in which he combats Sun Koh, a lost prince of Atlantis, battles with monstrous Yetis in Manhattan and deals with murderous ghosts, and zombie assassins. New pulp storytellers Frank Schildiner, B.C. Bell, Bill Gladman, and Bobby Nash offer up a quartet of fast-paced, bizarre thrillers that rekindle the excitement and wonder that were the pulps. Once again Airship 27 Productions presents pulp fans with another quality pulp listening experience like no other on the market today.

Bobby's story in this volume is called "JAZZ". Ravenwood is a partner in a new jazz club in the city that was renovated from an old vaudeville theater. Ravenwood is ready to celebrate opening night with the city's rich and famous, but ghosts from the building's past have other plans. This was Bobby's second published pulp tale.

DOMINO LADY "MONEY SHOT" RECEIVES A NEW 5 STAR AMAZON READER REVIEW!

Big thanks to reader/author Greg Hatcher, himself no stranger to Domino Lady for his 5 star review of the Moonstone Books novel, Domino Lady: Money Shot novel by Bobby Nash.

I bought this on the strength of my fondness for the title character and my enjoyment of previous Bobby Nash efforts. This one may be my new favorite. My only disappointment was that second story wasn't about the Domino Lady, though it was still pretty good. But "Money Shot" was worth it by itself.

Thanks for the kind words, Greg. They are appreciated.

NEW WEB ADDRESS FOR LANCE STAR: SKY RANGER DEBUTS!

Thanks to some ineptitude on the part of the Google Apps Team, I lost the www.lance-star.com domain name and can't get any help in solving the problem. I've been trying to pay Google Apps to renew the domain for months to no avail. Easy solution, I'm just going to go with the free http://lancestar.blogspot.com address and no longer pay Google. Seems like a win/win to me. Eventually, I'll migrate the Lance Star site over into www.bobbynash.com.

Please visit http://lancestar.blogspot.com for the latest Lance Star: Sky Ranger news.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

THE WRAP UP-- ATLANTA COMIC CONVENTION 8/14/16!

I was a guest at the Atlanta Comic Convention on August 14th. I've been doing this convention since the beginning, 20 years now and it is still one of my favorites. I always have a good time. This one was a little different thanks to it falling on my birthday, which meant a lot of well-wishes, which were greatly appreciated. Birthdays aren't a big to-do in the Nash family so I'm not used to doing much. I mean, I can count the number of birthday parties I've had on one hand.

I almost cancelled my appearance after taking a spill Saturday night. I was really sore on Sunday so, instead of my usual running around the con, I stayed at my table most of the day and stayed in my seat so there are fewer photos than usual. I know others have posted several shots from the event on social media. I usually stand so I can talk to people easier. I'm glad I went as it was a great day. I even got to draw the winner of the 2 free passes to Dragon Con, which was fun.

In addition to talking with some great folks and seeing friends, I even managed to sell a few books, which is always a nice bonus. Afterward, the evening was capped off with friends at Fellini's where I ate some great pizza.

All in all, an absolutely fun day. If you weren't there, you should have been. The next ACC should be sometime in early December. I will post the new date here when I have it.
