AN UPDATE ON MY PROJECTS...

Hello, everyone. I've had a couple of kind emails wondering how my projects are going so I thought this might be a good time to catch everyone up.

It's been a surprisingly busy week. Much more accomplished than last week.

I approved the Samaritan audio book this week. I have also completed layout of the Samaritan paperback. All that's left to do is write the essay and layout the front and back covers and the spine. Once that comes together, I will get it into a publishing que.

Currently, I'm listening to and editing audio chapters for Evil Ways and Earthstrike Agenda. Nice to see both of those projects finally moving
forward. It has also moved up plans to release Evil Intent and plan that audio book as well.

The production work is also completed on Suicide Bomb. As with Samaritan, I still need to write the essay and get the cover work completed. I spent some time yesterday working on design ideas for the front cover. Once that comes together, I will get it into a publishing que.

Snow Business is coming along. It's moving a little slower than I had planned, but the story is coming together nicely. I've also added a new character to the story, an Atlanta PD detective named Robert Trent.
Trent is one of those stereotypical cops we saw a lot on 70's and 80's TV. At least on the surface, anyway. As I start to peel away the layers of this character, I like what I see. He may or may not become a recurring friend/foil for Snow going forward. I would not be surprised to see him again.

This afternoon, I spent the morning working on Domino Lady: Threesome trade paperback comic book collection work to help Moonstone get the collection out finally. It has been held up for a while now so I am excited to see some movement on it. I think you pulp comic fans will love it.

After I finish this post, I still have a little work to do on this week's Sheriff Myers novella, "In The Wind" and get that posted to Patreon. Whew. If you
haven't joined me on Patreon, I invite you to head on over to www.patreon.com/bobbynash and take a look. The first chapter of "In The Win" is free to read today. Also, if you join the $5 or higher tiers, you'll get ebook and audio books of all of the projects I mentioned above.

Also, I have a couple of appearances this week. Join me on Thursday for Hometown Novel Nights in Hogansville, GA. On Saturday, join me for Local Comic Shop Day at Dr. No's Comics and Games in Marietta, GA. Check out the Appearances tab for all of the details. I hope to see you there.

Have a great week and happy reading.

To start, there are 17 items in the store. These will help me test the waters a bit to see what works and what needs a good tweak or two. Transactions are handled by Square and all major credit cards are accepted.

This is a test run, but if all goes well, I will upgrade and that adds more books and other payment options such as Paypal.

Fingers crossed.

NEW ART!

I've added a few new commission pieces to the Art folder. I wanted to share them here as well.

Domino Lady ain't taking no gruff today. "BANG!" The title says it all, doesn't it?

On the image below, the customer asked me to do a self portrait so I did a writing play on Rockwell's artist self portrait. The mirror image is the dream: Best Selling Author of the Year (and minus 100 lbs or so). And then there's working toward the dream.I hope they like it.

Also, I mailed some packages today so you know what that means... it's box art time!

Here's the first of two: The Mighty (and worthy) Thor! "By Odin's Beard! Do Not Bend Yon Package!"

Here's the second of two: this package is under Loki's protection. Bend at the own risk.

I love doing these art pieces. If you like them and want some of your own, hit me up at a con and we'll see what I can do for you. Or, you can commission one directly through this site. Just email me at bobby@bobbynash.com and we'll work out the details. It's generally $10 + a couple $$$ for shipping.

MEET THE 'GENRE MIXOLOGIST': AN INTERVIEW WITH BOBBY NASH

Meet “Genre Mixologist” Bobby Nash at Medium. Big thanks to author Nick Ahlhelm at Medium for the fun interview.

By the way, "Genre Mixologist" is totally going on the next batch of business cards.

Meet the “Genre Mixologist”: an interview with Bobby Nash

Bobby Nash is a creator whose name I know all the way back from the early days of my own writing career. He’s a fascinating genre-bender in his work, writing mysteries, crime novels, science fiction and of course, super powered fiction. This makes him the perfect subject for my second creator interview.

Read the full interview HERE.

FEELING A BIT ARTSY...

I worked on a commission piece tonight featuring my favorite pulp adventuress, The Domino Lady. I'm not always thrilled with how I draw female character faces so I've been practicing. This one came out pretty good, I think. DL plays a mean game of dominoes. I left the commissioners name off.

And you know I can't send out a package without doodling on the envelope. The lady at the post office gets a kick out of them. The Flash is here to remind the Post Office to please do not send this envelope.

What do you think?

I love doing commissions. I don't get to do them as often as I'd like, but they're fun. If you're interested in one of your own, hit me up and we'll make it happen. Rates are pretty cheap, comparatively.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! A LOOK BACK AT 2017 AND BOOKS RELEASED!

As we settle in to the final few hours of 2017 (to which I say, good riddance), I thought I would take a look back at my output for the year. Let's start with the not so good so this ends on a positive note.

If you follow me on any social media platform or regularly visit my website, you'll know that 2017 was a rough year for me both personally and professionally. My Mom passed away in September after a 3 year battle against cancer. A large chunk of my last year and a half has been caring for her as her condition worsened. Her loss is still a gut punch that will take time to heal. My Dad developed a medical issue and knee replacement surgery as well during this time so I was caretaker for both of them. I was laid off from my day job at the right time to take care of them, so that was a positive, at least. I never thought I would be thankful to be let go from a job.

I had to cancel several convention appearances in 2017 while taking care of the folks and many deadlines fell behind. I am appreciative that the conventions and publishers I work with were all understanding and worked with me to readjust my schedule. I have already started building my 2018 convention schedule. March, specifically, is packed with something each weekend.

My Dad is doing better, recovering nicely from his surgery. We're still all pretty raw emotionally here, but my dad, brother, and I are getting through it together.

I have started getting back into the writing groove. I'm not quite back up to the daily word count I was hitting before, but I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things and there are big plans afoot for 2018, including catching up old deadlines and a few new projects being added to the pipeline. 2018 looks to be a busy year.

Speaking of busy years, 2017 did see some books released featuring my work, including 5 audio books (reading previously released material), 1 bundle (featuring the previously released Earthstrike Agenda novel), and 7 paperback releases. You can see the full list below.

BOOKS PUBLISHED IN 2017
SnowFalls (BEN Books)

LanceStar: Sky Ranger Vol. 3 Audio (Airship 27/Radio Archives)
DominoLady: Sex As A Weapon Audio (Moonstone Books/Radio Archives)
SnowDrive (BEN Books)
85North (Falstaff Books)
LanceStar: Sky Ranger Vol. 4 Audio (Airship 27/Radio Archives)
TheRuby Files Vol. 2 (Airship 27)
TheRuby Files Vol. 2 Audio (Airship 27/Radio Archives)
Sandersonof Metro (Trinity Comics)

FourTomorrows – A Space Opera Box Set [Earthstrike Agenda] (Mechanoid Press)

All of these releases are still available wherever you buy your favorite books. If they don't have it, they can certainly order it for you.

I look forward to an exciting 2018 as series continue and new projects also launch. As a matter of fact, I spoke with an artist friend of mine today and we kicked around some ideas on the comic book front. Keep watching this space for more details as I have them to share.

Thank you for following my assorted ramblings this year. Please, stick around for more. I will try to be entertaining. You can also keep track of my various comings and goings on Patreon, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn!, and here at www.bobbynash.com.

Happy New Year!
