[updated with in store date] I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!

This one has been in the pipeline for a few years. I'm excited to see it moving forward and I'll post more details as soon as I have them. Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar is based on the old time radio show of the same name.

COMING SOON: Brand new Johnny Dollar! Plus an exclusive moonstonebooks.com HC with the bonus feature reprinting the long out of print Johnny Dollar 48pg comic!

A note from editor Tommy Hancock:
"To say this book was a labor of love would be understating it for me, and like most projects that are such, this one encountered road blocks and detours, but is finally on its way. Thanks to Gary Phillips, Barry Reese, Joshua M. Reynolds, Ron Fortier, Eric Fein, Joe Gentile, Bobby Nash,
Douglas Klauba, Adam Shaw (whose work will be seen on another edition of this book), and others, YOURS TRULY, JOHNNY DOLLAR is on its way from Moonstone!

The stories in this volume are top notch and this is a bucket list item for me, so it means a lot to me that all involved have weathered the years it has taken to get it out. And I feel like the story I wrote for this one is one of my best to date. But of course, I'm a fan...of Johnny's, not of mine."

More on this as we get closer. Gonna push the heck out of this.

My story in this collection is titled "The Girl’s Best Friend Matter" and it finds Johnny on the trail of jewel thieves who are after the most precious of treasures.

Stay tuned for more details as I get them.

Bobby

PATRON EXCLUSIVE FOR SEPTEMBER - NIGHTBEAT: NIGHT STORIES!

This month, patrons who subscribe to the $5 and up tiers at www.patreon.com/bobbynash received an ebook copy of Radio Archives NIGHTBEAT: NIGHT STORIES. This was a fun project and I had a great time listening to the radio show this anthology is based on. My story is called "The One That Got Away" Join us on Patreon today! www.patreon.com/bobbynash

A snippet:
Happy September, my friends. I appreciate your patience with this month's ebook while I was at Dragon Con. While it is easily my favorite con of the year, it is also an exhausting one. It was great seeing some of you there. I hope you all had a grand ol' time.

This month, my patrons received an ebook copy of an oldie, but goody. Premiering in November 2012 from Radio Archives, NIGHTBEAT: NIGHT STORIES was released in ebook (Kindle) and audio formats. It was the first time I ever heard my work read aloud as an audiobook, which was equal parts bizarre and cool.

A little history. Nightbeat was an NBC radio drama series that aired February 6, 1950 – September 25, 1952. The show was sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer and Wheaties. Nightbeat told the story of Randy (originally "Lucky") Stone, a reporter who covered the night beat for the Chicago Star, encountering criminals and troubled souls. Listeners were invited to join Stone as he "searches through the city for the strange stories waiting for him in the darkness." Stone was portrayed on the show by actor Frank Lovejoy.

Nightbeat: Night Stories features stories by authors Howard Hopkins, William Patrick Murray, Paul Bishop, Tommy Hancock, Mark Squirek, and yours truly. The audio is read by veteran character actor Michael C. Gwynne. Cover by Douglas Klauba. Edited by Tommy Hancock. Published and produced by Radio Archives.

My story is called "The One That Got Away" and it's one of my favorites. I started out planning to write a fairly straightforward story of good guys and bad guys, with a damsel in distress between them. The characters had other plans and the ending became much better by my paying attention to them.

Time to walk the beat.

WE LOVE LISTENER REVIEWS-- BOX 13 EDITION!

We love reader (and listener) reviews!

Big Thanks to Mike Porter for leaving a 5 star review for Radio Archives' Box 13 audio at Audible. Many thanks, Mike. It is appreciated.

Mike wrote:
"Excellent stories! If you're an OTR fan and am familiar with the late 1940's weekly radio version of Box 13, you'll enjoy Dan's new adventures. The authors have captured the spirit of the old shows, especially the very first one. A couple of the new adventures have a X Files feel to them, but they are fun. All the stories are set in the late 40's and early 50's and the topical references are historically accurate. And the reader is excellent."

I'm especially excited for Box 13 praise. Not only did I write 3 of the stories, but I also produced this edition so it holds a special place in my heart. Features stories by Jim Beard, Barry Reese, Andrew Salmon, and Bobby Nash. Cover by Douglas Klauba. Performed by Nick Santa-Maria.  Based on Box 13 starring Alan Ladd.

DOMINO LADY "MONEY SHOT" RECEIVES A NEW 5 STAR AMAZON READER REVIEW!

Big thanks to reader/author Greg Hatcher, himself no stranger to Domino Lady for his 5 star review of the Moonstone Books novel, Domino Lady: Money Shot novel by Bobby Nash.

I bought this on the strength of my fondness for the title character and my enjoyment of previous Bobby Nash efforts. This one may be my new favorite. My only disappointment was that second story wasn't about the Domino Lady, though it was still pretty good. But "Money Shot" was worth it by itself.

Thanks for the kind words, Greg. They are appreciated.

KICKING OFF 2016 WITH AN ADVENTURE!

My copy of the ‪Douglas Klauba‬ 2016 Adventure ‪Calendar‬ and sketchbook arrived today. Naturally, it looks great as Doug is an amazing artist. Also included was a copy of his A Fistful of Lead sketchbook and a book jacket. Cool extras.

Check out Miss February. This image of the lovely Domino Lady comes from Doug's cover art on the Domino Lady novel I wrote called Domino Lady "Money Shot" for Moonstone Books. Gorgeous piece.

February, the Domino Lady has her eye on you.

I'm not sure if Doug will have any of the calendars on sale beyond the Kickstarter. If he does and you're a pulp fan or just a fan of great art, you should pick one up.
