IT ONLY TOOK 30 YEARS...

Writing is such an odd business. This past week, I was offered the chance to write a novel featuring a character I have actively pitched comic book stories with for over the last 30 years. Eventually, I realized it wasn't going to happen and stopped trying. Now, I'm getting a chance to write the character in novel format. I'm so excited. No details as yet, but will share them soon. I may have spilled the beans on a podcast interview I did last night that will be out later this week. Hint! Hint! Nudge! Nudge! Or, if you were at River City Comic Expo last weekend, you may have heard it on a panel.

This is further proof that you should never give up on your dreams. Sometimes things take a while. I'm excited to be working on this character.

Okay, here's another hint that will tell you nothing. The image to the left is a crop from a well-known image featuring this character from many years back.

More news on this soon.

NEW 5 STAR FREELANCER: THE TRAVELER SANCTION REVIEW AT AMAZON!

Big thanks to Michael A. Dubrow for his kind review of From the Pen of Bobby Nash, Book 1: Freelancer - The Traveler Sanction at Amazon. It is much appreciated, sir. That last line still has me smiling.

Fast paced, action packed, and fun. But most impressive about this story is it's tight plot. There is not a wasted moment. The twists are unexpected, the characters are briefly introduced yet fully realized, and when you get to the end, you realize that though its a novella, a lot happened and it all made sense. This book is like a text book on what an action novel should be.

You can still get the FREELANCER: THE TRAVELER SANCTION ebook novella by Bobby Nash for FREE from Barnes and Noble or Smashwords. Pro Se Productions has a number of their Single Shot Signature line of ebooks for free at the moment, including mine. You should check them out.

READ BOBBY’S PRO SE SINGLE SHOT SIGNATURE SERIES FOR FREE IN SEPTEMBER!

September is Pro Se Productions Single Shot Signatures Month! FREE STORIES!
My From the Pen of Bobby Nash  story, Freelancer: The Traveler Sanction is included in this deal. Get it for free here.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ALL FIRST STORIES IN PRO SE SINGLE SHOT SIGNATURE SERIES AVAILABLE FREE FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER!

In May 2014, Pro Se Productions, a leading Publisher of Genre Fiction and New Pulp, launched an ambitious endeavor to provide readers with digital short fiction by today’s best Authors on schedules ranging from bi weekly to every six months. The Pro Se Single Shot Signature line involved 40 plus writers telling tales that ran the genre gamut from one end to the other and intended to set a new standard in Pulp Fiction. Although several series have been produced, the line has had issues becoming established, as stated by the company. To that end, Pro Se Productions has established September as Pro Se Single Shot Signature Month, not only to essentially re establish the original intent of the line, but also to debut new series and make other announcements, insuring that the digital imprint will fulfill its original intent.

“Real life,” says Tommy Hancock, Pro Se’s Editor in Chief, “sometimes affects everything, even business. And there are choices to be made when that happens for a company like Pro Se. Either you push on as if nothing has happened and hope it all works out and no one notices. Or you fall back, regroup, and come out even stronger than before, taking the scars with the stars. That’s what we are doing with the Pro Se Single Shot Signature line. Our large scale plan for the fantastic work of this unbelievable collection of writers did not fully gel in the last year, due in large part to issues related to the lives of many involved, myself primarily. However, with the support of staff and the sheer tenacity of the writers involved in this project, we are now in the place to not only carry on with the great Signature series and writers’ imprints that have already launched, but September will see the debut of several new series that make this entire project something that is unparalleled in New Pulp today. And what better way to kick that off than with offering readers the chance to get on board existing series for free?”

For the month of September, Pro Se Productions is offering the first story/episode/chapter of each of its existing Pro Se Single Shots Signature series for free! Enjoy mystery, super heroics, horror, fantasy, and more for free in most formats via Smashwords and enter worlds created by the best writers of Fiction today!

“When we developed the Pro Se Single Shot Signature concept,” says Tommy Hancock, “we invited every author involved for a variety of reasons. Bobby Nash was invited for one reason only- because he fit every criterion we were looking for. Art: Jeffrey Hayes
Coming VERY Soon From Pro Se Productions' Single Shot Signature line…. From The Pen of Bobby Nash. Up first is Freelancer: The Traveler Sanction! The cover art is by Jeffrey Hayes.

I was very excited to see Pro Se share this cover on social media tonight. I've been sitting on it for a while and I'm excited that it's out there. I think Jeffrey Hayes did a fantastic job on it. Plus, he made my hair look less gray, which is always appreciated. Ha! Ha!

Who is The Freelancer?
No one knows her real name. Miss Lance is the only known identity of the freelance adventurer known for her ability to pull off the impossible and make it look easy. Her fee is negotiable, and is not always in the form of money. Sometimes she works for a return favor, or for objects. If you have a problem and you’ve exhausted all avenues, it’s time to call in the Freelancer.

Are you ready to meet
The Freelancer?
About Freelancer: The Traveler Sanction--
After rescuing the daughter of the Secretary of Defense of the United States of America, The Freelancer fears that her client is still in danger. What did the kidnappers hope to gain by taking the daughter of a high-ranking government official? Are they coming after her again? And what lengths will they go to reach their ultimate target, the man code-named Traveler-- James Montgomerey, the President of the United States of America.

I'll have more information on the release of Freelancer: The Traveler Sanction as soon as it is available. That's her in the upper right side of the attached promotional image. Final cover coming soon.

PRO SE PRESENTS: THE NEWSLETTER OFFERS HOLLIS, P.I. COVER 1ST LOOK!

The new edition of PRO SE PRESENTS: THE NEWSLETTER is out now and features a first look at the cover to an upcoming Pro Se Productions title that will feature a story by me. Subscribe to the newsletter today by clicking here!

Included in this issue of the newsletter is a first look at Jeffrey Hayes cover to HOLLIS, P.I.

Gary Phillips' Nate Hollis returns in an all-new prose crime anthology from Pro Se Press. Hollis first gained attention in the Angeltown comic book series from DC Comics' Vertigo imprint. The series was later collected with new stories added at Moonstone Books. Now, Nate Hollis is back at Pro Se Press.

I had a blast working on this one. I love writing crime fiction and Nate Hollis and the characters that inhabit his world are amazing to write.

I'll post more information on Hollis, p.i. as soon as it becomes available.
