THE RUBY FILES VOL. 1 GET 5 STARS ON GOODREADS!

Big thanks to Author and Patron Darrell Grizzle for his 5 STAR review of The Ruby Files vol. 1 at GoodReads. Thanks, pal. Read the full review HERE.

"A missing-person case is neatly wrapped up, but then things take a turn for the worse when a dead body is found in the snow. That’s “The Case of the Wayward Brother” by Bobby Nash, one of four stories in this book featuring Rick Ruby, a tough-talking ex-cop turned private eye. Fans of film noir and two-fisted action will love this collection. Pulp fiction at its finest!"

WE LOVE LISTENER REVIEWS-- BOX 13 EDITION!

We love reader (and listener) reviews!

Big Thanks to Mike Porter for leaving a 5 star review for Radio Archives' Box 13 audio at Audible. Many thanks, Mike. It is appreciated.

Mike wrote:
"Excellent stories! If you're an OTR fan and am familiar with the late 1940's weekly radio version of Box 13, you'll enjoy Dan's new adventures. The authors have captured the spirit of the old shows, especially the very first one. A couple of the new adventures have a X Files feel to them, but they are fun. All the stories are set in the late 40's and early 50's and the topical references are historically accurate. And the reader is excellent."

I'm especially excited for Box 13 praise. Not only did I write 3 of the stories, but I also produced this edition so it holds a special place in my heart. Features stories by Jim Beard, Barry Reese, Andrew Salmon, and Bobby Nash. Cover by Douglas Klauba. Performed by Nick Santa-Maria.  Based on Box 13 starring Alan Ladd.

BLOOD AND INK: 25 NEW PULP BOOKS TO GET YOU STARTED [GUESS WHAT BOOKS MADE THE LIST!]

Over on his blog, author Derrick Ferguson, along with Lucas Garrett, Barry Reese, and Andrew Salmon, compiled a list of good intro books to the world of New Pulp. I won’t get into the whole “what is pulp/New Pulp?” discussion here because it has been discussed ad infinitum and no one is closer to agreeing than when it all began.

This is a nice list the guys put together. I'm honored to have my work listed there twice, even though I wouldn't classify Evil Ways as pulp. The Ruby Files, on the other hand, definitely qualifies.

I know there are those who disagree with me on Evil Ways and I get where they are coming from. I certainly don’t mind it being called Pulp or New Pulp. It’s just not how I think of it. Then again, my writing style is pretty consistent across my various projects so I can see where they’re coming
from. Regardless, I’m honored to have made the list.

You can read the full list of the 25 New Pulp Books To Get You Started here.
