Phantom's selfie at the recording
The ESO Network crew managed to get away from the crazy crowd and gather together over some buckets o’ rum to tell tales of this year’s Dragon Con. Mike Faber, Mike Gordon, the award-winning Bobby Nash were joined by fellow ESO Network hosts and Friends of the Station JC & Rita De La Torre, Phantom Troublemaker, Darren Nowell, Angela Pritchett, Bill Kielhorn, William Faber, Tracy Allgrove, Ravyn, and more! EARTH STATION ONE EPISODE 219 – CAMPING WITH PRIDE

I’m still out with a rough bout of laryngitis, although I did pop on to croak my way through the Khan Report this week.

This 1 time, at Bat-Camp
On this outrageous episode of the ESO podcast, the crew celebrate summer by going camp! Mah-velous Mike Faber, Fan-Tiki-Tastic Mike Gordon, and the sultry sounds of the award-winning Bobby Nash are joined by the divine Darren Nowell and Giant Girl goddess Sabrina Pandora to explore the history of camp style in our culture. We also find out if Keith R.A. DeCandido can use his new book, The Klingon Art of War, to help prepare for battling The Geek Seat, and we chat with Time Lord rocker Ken Spivey about his new album. All this, along with the usual Rants, Raves, Khan Report, and Shout Outs!

SUNDAY MORNING PODCAST PANELS...

The panelists...
Our audience of one.
From our podcasting panel this morning. Bobby NashMike FaberMichael Gordon, & Kirby Bartlett-SloanDarren Nowell is off to the left, out of frame.

The Earth Station One podcast crew visited Outlantacon on May 4th to talk podcasting.
We did two panels. They were:
Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. - Podcasting: the business side of the microphone
Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 1:50 p.m. - ESO Podcast LIVE!

We only had one guest for the first one and the second panel was a no show. Sadly, this is not all that uncommon for early morning Sunday panels at a smaller, hotel con, because those are usually very busy late into the night. Still, despite a small audience, it was fun hanging out with the ESO crew. We also met up with some other friends working in the dealer's room. You know me, I'm never at a loss for cool people to talk to at a con.

After the con, the ESO crew caught a showing of The Amazing Spider-man 2 at a nearby theater. The movie was okay. I enjoyed it. Of course, we'll talk about it and review the heck out of the movie on this week's podcast. Stay tuned for that.

Bobby
