Today, Facebook informed me that a photo had been uploaded of me and its facial recognition software wanted to tag me. Naturally curious, I went to look at the photo. It was a photo of my buddy, Robert McIntyre taken at the WHOlanta. All good. What I couldn't figure out was why FB was trying to tag me. I swear I looked at the photo a couple of minutes before the realization hit me that there's a photo of me, Mike Gordon, and Mike Faber from the ESO Network podcast on the shirt Rob's wearing. What's worse, Mike G. and I had even talked about the shirt the night before on the phone. So, I felt like a clueless idiot and a rockstar all at the same time.

Not a bad way to kickstart the day, huh?

Or, as Mike likes to say, #prolificproblems :)

THE WRAP UP-- A FULL WEEKEND: FREE COMIC BOOK DAY AND WHOLANTA!

I had an absolutely amazing day yesterday.

It was an early start as I took a road trip to Kingdom Comics in Alabama for Free Comic Book Day, which, as always, continues to be an amazing event. Stan Daniels and his crew put on an amazing FCBD event and I was thrilled to be part of it. I had a lot of fun with friends both old and new, which is always a nice bonus. My Birmingham appearances are always great fun. My only regret is I didn't get a photo of my table.

After returning to Atlanta, I stopped by WHOlanta briefly and hung out after hours with friends. There were many laughs shared. A great cap to the day hanging out with wonderful people. We were having so much fun I never even thought about snapping a photo or two.

This morning got off to a great start as well with an appearance on The Chronic Rift talking about one of my favorite mini-series, V (full story to follow, but here's the link).

Not a bad way to spend the weekend. Not bad at all.

JOIN ME SATURDAY FOR FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!

Join me this Saturday, May 6th for Free Comic Book Day at Dr. No's Comics and Games in Marietta, GA. Creators will be signing from noon - 2 p.m. (and maybe a little later - I won't leave if there's someone in line to get a sketch). I will be doing free sketches for the kids and the kids at heart. Award-winning artist Francesco Francavilla will be joining us that day to kick off his celebration of ten years in American comics. Other confirmed guests include Julie Barclay, Shane Berryhill, Drew Geraci, Bobby Nash, Joe Pruett, Jorge Santiago Jr., and Marcel Vann. Guests will be here from noon until 2pm on May 6th, but we'll be giving away free

comics all day long! We will also have hundreds of collected editions on sale at 50% off that day, and thousands of comics for as low as 25¢ each! Hope we see you on that day!

After Dr. No's, I'll be heading over to the WHOlanta convention, where they have FCBD comics as well, including a Doctor Who comic with an exclusive Wholanta cover by convention guest Kelly Yates. You won't want to miss the opportunity to get this collector's item signed.
