EARTH STATION WHO EPISODE 55 – THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR

ESW at Timegate 50th event
After 50 years, The Doctor finally had his day and what a day it was! After the record-breaking global broadcast, the ESW crew celebrated the 50th anniversary with an event co-hosted with TimeGate Convention, Doctor Who: The Forgotten Doctor and DragonCon British Media Track. Mike Faber, Mike Gordon, Jennifer Hartshorn, and the Phantom Troublemaker had a blast sharing initial reactions to The Day of The Doctor special along with the award-winning author Bobby Nash, Beau Brown, Kirby
Bartlett-Sloan, and the main man of the night, Alan Siler. It was an added bonus to hang out with many friends and fans throughout the evening. So much fun, it should be an annual holiday!

NEEDLESS THINGS PODCAST EPISODE 12: DRAGON CON 2013 GI JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO PANEL

Your panelists.
Bobby Nash joined The Phantom Troublemaker, Gary Mitchel, and Noel Wood on the American Sci Fi Classics panel at Dragon Con to discuss G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. We had a great time with a fantastic audience. Now, you can hear the panel for yourself in episode 12 of the Needless Things Podcast, which you can find here.

YO, JOE!!!

Yo, Joe!
From The Phantom Troublemaker’s show notes:
Finally, I was on a GI Joe panel, too. This is the one I was the most excited about because GI Joe was my big childhood thing. The cartoons, the comics, the toys. All of it. I don’t think there is another franchise that I have embraced as fully except for maybe Doctor Who (it’s a close race between Doctor Who, GI Joe, and Star Wars).

I had a truly elite special mission force for this one – Gary Mitchel, ESO’s own Award Winning Bobby Nash, and my pal Gnoll; a virtual repository of 80s information. We had a great time talking A Real

American Hero, but what made this panel so great was the audience. The room was absolutely packed – standing room only – and the audience was so good I’m actually a little worried it’s the best I’ll ever see. We had people in costumes and everybody was excited to participate. It was amazing.

And now, through the magic of computering, you too can take part! Listen now as we visit the Hall of Heroes to look back on America’s

It’s time for the next thrilling installment of the Needless Things Podcast!

We recorded this nugget of joy LIVE at Odin’s Cosmic Bookshelf in the heart of scenic Lilburn, Georgia. In this episode I am joined on a permanent basis by my co-host Mr. Beau Brown – puppeteer and costumer extraordinaire. Also along for the ride are the Award-Winning Bobby Nash – Conscience of the ESO Network, the Belligerent Monkey Jay Hornsby, and Counter Boy Greg.

We sat down in the all-new Media Room at Odin’s to discuss gaming, the various media worlds of DC Comics, and our own personal journeys through the worlds of dorkery. It’s a fun talk that I think you’ll enjoy.

Phantom Phact: Did you know that my co-host Mr. Beau Brown can dual-wield a halberd and a flail?

NEEDLESS THINGS!

The Phantom Troublemaker
I was honored to participate in a discussion on comic books and graphic novels over at the Needless Things blog, hosted by my friend, and Earth Station Who co-host, The Phantom Troublemaker.

You can read "They're Comic Books, You Twat!" here.

So, what do you call them? Are the comic books, comics, pamphlets, funny books, graphic novels, books, or perhaps another term I've not heard yet. I'd love to hear from you.

Bobby
