SOME ART FOR TODAY...

I love to draw so I occasionally do sketches at conventions and events or if someone asks. In 2018, I opened up space for commissions. Commissions are $20 + $3 shipping and handling. They are drawn on a thick 6 3/4" x 10 1/2" board and shipped flat. Contact me through email (bobby@bobbynash.com) or social media to set up your own commissioned piece.

If you're interested in getting some box or envelope art of your own, there's only one way to do it. You can order any of my books direct from me through this site. I can accept Paypal or credit cards. I also have the Big Box O' Books promotion and I also do art commissions. Just let me know what interests you and I'll get you a price.

Here's a commission I finished today. This is Lari from my story, Samaritan. This is the first time I've drawn her in this form (sorry if it's a bit of a spoiler). I've actually got a sequel to Samaritan plotted out in my head. Hopefully, I can get it written soon. May 2019.

Want to read Samaritan? Only $0.99. Find it HERE.

I mailed a package today so you know what that means... It's Bobby's Box Art time! Today's box art features one of my all time favorite characters, CAPTAIN AMERICA and his mighty shield. A hearty salute to this amazing character.

LANCE STAR: SKY RANGER VOL. 1
A high flying pulp adventure anthology

Airship 27 Productions and Cornerstone take to the skies with the release of their reprint edition of LANCE STAR – SKY RANGER. This collection of new stories starring the long forgotten pulp hero was the first anthology title produced by Airship 27 Productions, dated 2006. Its overwhelming success helped launch the company’s ambitious plans to bring back classic pulp characters in brand new adventures. “Without LANCE STAR – SKY RANGER, there probably would have been no Airship 27 Productions,” claimed Editor Ron Fortier. “It was the book that got us going.” This anthology features four action packed tales of Lance and his loyal Sky Rangers. They include Attack of the Birdman by Frank Dirscherl, Where the Sea Meets the Sky by Bobby Nash, Shadows Over Kunlun by Win Scott Eckert, and Talons of the Red Condor by Bill Spangler with cover and interior art by comic pro, Rich Woodall of Johnny Raygun fame. The book also contains an article on the history of the character by Norman Hamilton and a second on airplane modeling in the 1930s and 40s by Larry Marshall. Included as an added bonus feature for this new edition is an excerpt from Bobby Nash’s full length novel, Lance Star: Sky Ranger “Cold Snap!” coming soon!

At the height of the pulps’ popularity, flying heroes like Dusty Ayers, G8 andamp; His Battle Aces and Bill Barnes were among the biggest sellers on the market. Airship 27 Prod. is once again turning the spotlight on another such aviation daredevil, LANCE STAR – SKY RANGER!

INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORE DAY!

Even though I was out of town for a funeral, I found an independent bookstore to visit for Independent Bookstore Day. I picked up a couple of cool items; a copy of Planet of the Apes, which I've never read, and a copy of Armor for a friend of mine who collects as many different versions of this title as he can get his hands on.

I also saw books by my friend, Ellie Raine on display as well. That's always cool. None of mine though. They were probably sold out. Yeah. That's the story I'm going to stick with, if it's all the same to you.

Thanks, Walls of Books in Ellijay, GA.

TUESDAY'S WRITER...

I had a rather productive writing day today. I haven't had a whole lot of those of late so it was nice to get back into the swing of things. Going to push away from the laptop, watch a little TV to unwind, then call it a night. Sweet dreams. #amwriting

THE SUICIDE BOMB CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT!

The next thrilling chapter of SUICIDE BOMB goes live at midnight EST.

Subscribe today and get caught up on this serialized thriller from award-winning author Bobby Nash and BEN Books exclusively on Patreon. www.patreon.com/bobbynash

MONDAY-- COMIC BOOKS, SUICIDE BOMBS, AND HELLBOYS! OH, MY!

I had a fairly productive day. I drew 4 pages of a comic book today, which is something I haven't done in over twenty years, at least. I also wrote the script for those four pages and worked on a chapter of the Secret Agent X novel. I also put together the dust jacket hardcover edition of Evil Ways to see how it looks. I ordered a proof copy. Looking forward to seeing it. This gets me one step closer to releasing Evil Intent this year.

I also had a great time talking Hellboy with my pals over at the Earth Station One podcast. Look for it to go live later this week.

After I post this, I still have to finish up this week's installment of Suicide Bomb and get it posted.

All in all, a rather productive day.

It was certainly much more productive than I was last week.

Bobby

CREATING COMICS...

Now here's something I haven't done in a while. I wrote and pencilled (more like layouts, I'd say) a 4 page comic book story for an upcoming issue of a friend's comics. More details when I have them to share.
