THE JOY OF JOE NETS 5 STARS!

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! Big Thanks to Amberjack for the kind words and 5 STAR Amazon review of The Joy of Joe HERE and below.

"The Thrill of Childhood! I picked this book up at a book convention last year and enjoyed it immensely! Each chapter author shares their childhood (and adulthood) experiences with G.I. Joe and how these action figures left an indelible mark on their life. From its beginning as the first action figure to its most modern incarnation, this is a book for any fan of the brand. If you're a fan of shows like "The Toys Who Made Us," then this is a book for you. The personal accounts people offer here are wonderful glimpses into the past and show how the most important ingredient for any toy is the imagination."''

Thanks again, Amberjack!

ANOTHER 5 STAR REVIEW FOR THE JOY OF JOE!

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! A huge THANK YOU to Rev. Aaron *Brother Head* Moss for his 5 STAR (wishes he could give it more) Amazon review of The Joy of Joe: Memories of America's Movable Fighting Man from Today's Grown-Up Kids. You can own your very own copy of The Joy of Joe too. Get it here. G.I. Joe would approve!

"Wish I could give it more than 5 stars. EXCELLENT book! Yo Joe! Man... I have to say... this book is FANTASTIC. I've talked with Jim on my G.I. Joe: A Real American Headcast podcast, and he was telling me how good the stories were, how talented the writers in this are... Boy, did he undersell it. Whether you like the original Joe, the Adventure Team era, or like me, the Real American Hero version, this book has a story for you. These talented writers reliving their past and basically, as the title say the joy of Joe, wow.... that's all I can really say. Stories in here made me laugh, made me miss my old Joes, made me think, and a couple even choked me up. My biggest complaint about this book... Not nearly long enough. Seems like I just started it and it was over. Here's to hoping for a sequel. Maybe The Joy of Jane. 8) Anyone that likes any version of G.I. Joe or just likes hearing damn good stories, needs to check this book out. I don't often re-read books (just due to time), but I may have to re-read this one soon. Left me with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. The song? G.I. Joe, a Real American Hero, G.I Joe is there..... Anyways... stop reading reviews and get this book. Yo Joe!"

Thanks again, Rev.

PURE BOTTLED NOSTALGIA IN ALL THE BEST WAYS...

"Pure bottled nostalgia in all the best ways... I have a serious issue with Jim Beard's collection of memories that is "The Joy of Joe" - it's TOO SHORT!!! I had the good fortune to pick up a hard copy of this book at JoeCon 2018, and finding myself stuck at the airport for far too long, I opened up this little gem and started reading. I devoured the whole thing in one sitting and immediately started cursing Jim and his fellow editors, Bill Nedrow and Justin Bell, for not including more of these delightful, heartfelt, amusing essays on what little plastic soldiers bring to our lives. It was amazing how all these different tales, from all these different people, could remind you repeatedly of your own adventures playing with the same of similar toys as a kid. Kudos to Jim for assembling such an impressive bunch of Joe Fans. But next time, Jim, maybe get twice as many - I would've liked to have had something to read on the plane as well. "

Thanks again, Jason.

A 5 STAR SALUTE FOR THE JOY OF JOE!

A Big Thank You to Shishard for leaving a 5 STAR Amazon review for THE JOY OF JOE. It is much appreciated.

"Great read. There are only so many how to collect or books on collecting action figures a man can read. This fortunately is not one of those. Compiling essays on why someone loves a toy line was definitely what our hobby needed. We all have similar stories and most in this book will trigger the 'back in the day' thoughts of lessons learned and friends remembered. I will definitely look for other books by Jim Beard."

THE JOY OF JOE NABS 5 STARS!

We Love Reader Reviews! A big THANK YOU to erick gee for his 5 STAR Amazon review of The Joy of Joe: Memories of America's Movable Fighting Man from Today's Grown-Up Kids.

"A fun collection of G.I.Joe nostalgia! As a G.I.Joe fan for the last 36 years, when I first learned of "The Joy of Joe", I knew it was a book that I definitely needed for my collection. What I didn't know was that the book would actually bring a tear to my eye (but for masculinity's sake, we'll just say someone was cutting onions nearby). The Joy of Joe is a collection of stories from G.I.Joe fans and in today's day where everything appears so negative, it's great to be able to pick up a book that immediately reintroduces you to your imagination and reminds you of a simpler time. I highly recommend this title not only to G.I.Joe fans, but for anyone looking for a fun trip down memory lane."

Thanks again, Erick.
