I saw the cover art for an upcoming release today and it looks absolutely gorgeous. The publisher's not ready to share it yet so I can't show you, but one of the coolest parts of my job is seeing amazing artwork hit my inbox. I love it.
Big thanks to Chris Hamer and company for putting on an amazing show. There was a nice crowd and it stayed pretty busy all day. Moreover, it was great to catch up with friends, including several I wasn't able to get photos with. I'm really bad about that.

What's it like to write in someone else's sandbox, working with licensed properties, and how can you be creative while playing by someone else's rules?
I'm thrilled to announce that my story was accepted for the Kolchak The Night Stalker 50th Anniversary prose anthology that will be out soon. I'm excited to be part of this project. Kolchak is a fantastic character. The story I wrote takes place during Kolchak's time as a war correspondent during the Vietnam War. In typical Kolchak fashion, while covering the horrors of war finds himself in the midst of some weird goings on. Fun stuff.
Snow's going cheap! Amazon has deeply discounted multiple SNOW paperbacks, including the novellas, collected series editions, & Snow Shorts. If you've considered picking up any of the action-packed Snow thrillers, now is the time. Welcome to #TheSummerOfSnow!
A sneak peek at the cover art for one of my upcoming books. Are you ready for Dante's Showdown?

Repost Jeffrey Hayes: It's WIP WEDNESDAY!! (I'm told this is a Social Media artist thing.) Here is a Work In Progress for Valhalla Books' "Dante's Showdown," a forthcoming book by author Bobby Nash. The tales of Dante are a genre-busting mix of horror and the Wild Old West. Look for "Dante's Tenth" and "Dante's Showdown" coming soon from Valhalla Books. I'll post links here when available.

There's nothing like that feeling of finishing a story and sending it off to the publisher for editing. I wrote almost 5,000 words today and then spent some time polishing. Will share more details when I can.
Definitely a good writing day. I think I'll take the rest of the night off.

I had a couple of good days in the writing office. Yesterday, I finished a Sky Rangers story for Pulp Reality #4. Tonight, I added a few thousand words to Dante's Showdown. Nearing the finish line on that one. Soon. Time to call it a night. Tired writer is tired.
I love it when characters I'm writing get into a grove. This is a bit from my current WIP, Dante's Showdown, the follow up to Dante's Tenth, which appeared in Valhalla Books' The Devil's Due anthology (still on sale HERE). The characters took this into a direction I hadn't completely planned, but really works. I love it when that happens.

“I run the Dante Dispatch. That’s our local newspaper.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Reporter, eh? An interesting profession, especially for such a young lady out here in the wilds. How did you get into that line of work?”
“Turns out I knew all the words,” she joked, blushing in spite of herself.
“No mean feat,” he countered.
“Sometimes I even put them in the right order.”
“Ah. That explains it then.” He chuckled. “Heath Moore. New in town. No job yet and I only get my words in the right order maybe half the time.”
When I put books in the mail it means it's time for another installment of #EnvelopeArt. You can check out my previous envelope art at www.bobbynash.com. Please visit my on-line store at https://bobbynash.square.site and I'll doodle on your envelope if you make a purchase. What a deal, huh? Here are a few recent doodles.

"Zorro rides again! Purchased this fine anthology for the contribution of Ron Fortier (who supplies one of the wonderful stories), as well as artists Rob Davis and Steve Shipley. On the whole, this is a massive and pleasing volume that captures all avenues of the Zorro myth. If you're a fan, you need this one!"
I ran across this in an old file today. I did these sketch cards for a charity auction back in 2010. Seems like a lifetime ago. I'd forgotten about them until I saw them so it was a nice trip down memory lane. I wonder how they did in the auction? Anyway, I thought you might enjoy seeing the process from pencil to ink to color.
H.E.R.B.I.E. the Muse and I are snacking on grapes and writing cowboys & monsters while Snow holds my soda. Not a bad way to make a living. Some of you may recognize a mane or two as I've written these characters before. More on that later. #AmWriting #Focus

I have known Randy for years and have greatly enjoyed his Hawk of New York comic series. Being invited to be part of crafting the next stage of this story is exciting. As an action-writer, this one hits on all cylinders for me, pun very much intended. Randy has created a fantastic character and world and I am having fun playing in it.
