HORRORPHILIA ranked Camp Massacre #2 on their best slashers of 2015 list and I couldn't be happier. Big thanks to Jason at Horrorphilia for the review. We had so much fun making this movie. The cast and crew really bonded while making this movie. There were a lot of laughs in between swatting mosquitoes and other bugs. My favorite memory is from the scene with all of us together in the cabin playing drunk. Check out Horrorphilia Jason’s Top 10 Slashers of 2015 here for the full list. Bobby
Examiner reviews Camp Massacre in an article called Camp Massacre: An Exercise in Fun. You can read it here.
This is a fun review by a reviewer who understood that this was first and foremost a comedy. Thanks for the kind words.

CAMP MASSACRE
A comedy/horror film
Ten overweight men appear on a weight loss reality show that threatens to push them to the edge. As contestants start to disappear in the night, it is up to the survivors to figure out what is going on. Are they sneaking away while everyone else sleeps? Has one of the contestants snapped? Or is something more nefarious going on?
Indie Horror Films' Richard Gary reviews Camp Massacre. You can read the full review here.

About Camp Massacre: Ten contestants appear on a competitive reality show geared toward weight-loss. As the competition grows more intense, they realize that they're losing more than just weight; they are losing competitors. Are the contestants dropping out voluntarily or is something more insidious going on? Will any of them even live long enough to see the final round?
You can see the trailer here or below. Spoiler, my character's fate is revealed in the trailer.

On Rue Morgue's website, they reviewed the uncut award-winning convention cut of Fat Chance, a movie I have a role in. Sadly, the reviewer didn't seem to like it though. Oh well. Can't win 'em all.
They did say the movie has some charm though. I'll take that.
The international premiere of Fat Chance made the news in the German horror magazine called "Virus."
Fat Chance director Jim O'Rear premiered the Fat Chance movie at Movie Days / The Dark Zone film festival event in Dortmund, Germany. Virus gave the premiere a shout out in their latest issue.

The story as we know it thus far goes like this: When ten overweight men sign up to appear on a weight loss reality show taking place at a fat camp in the woods, they get more than they bargained for when contestants begin to disappear in mysterious ways.
‘Fat Chance’ features Hollywood veteran actor and stuntman Dick Warlock (Halloween 2, Jaws, The Ting), WWF/WWE professional wrestler and actor Al
Snow (Overtime), former porn actress, Penthouse Pet and Playboy model Bree Olson (The HUman Centipede 3), actor, writer and director Daniel Emery Taylor (Return of the Swamp Thing, Road Trip), actor and convention regular Jim O’Rear (The Dead Matter, Star Trek 4, ABC’s Nashville), actor Scott Tepperman (Ghost Hunters International), award-winning author Bobby Nash, and more.
Fat Chance director Jim O'Rear premiered the Fat Chance movie at Movie Days/The Dark Zone film festival event in Dortmund, Germany. At the event, Fat Chance was awarded “Best Horror Comedy” which is pretty darn cool.
Here’s Jim’s post-- Sooooo.... This happened today in Germany... the international premiere of FAT CHANCE. And..... Yes... Winner for "Best Horror Comedy." Thanks to all who attended the screening. We appreciate you being there. The film was well received and our silly American humor translated well to the German audience. There was much laughter throughout the screening. The crowd loved everyone, but seemed especially entertained by Bob Bower and Ru Benjamin Revolver, who received laughs every time they were on screen. The reveal of the killer received a collective GASP from the audience and there was even a loud "shit" spoken... so, they obviously didn't guess who the killer was in advance. Awesome job, cast and crew, you blew the German audience away!

Deviant Pictures owners Jim O’Rear and Daniel Emery Taylor, who are jointly producing and directing the film from a script written by Taylor, state, “We’re staying true to our horror roots with ‘Fat Chance’.
When we made ‘The Hospital’, we wanted to push the boundaries of some particularly taboo subjects in our society and create a disturbing and uncomfortable film, but with ‘Fat Chance’ we are taking it back to the campy, fun style of the early 1980’s films we grew up on, such as ‘Sleepaway Camp’, ‘Meatballs’, and ‘Friday the 13th’. Lots of laughs, tons of excitement, and gallons upon gallons of blood.”
