"Amazing Jack Kirby essays. I was a Super Powers kid, it took my already deep love for DC Comics into the stratosphere. But it would still be a while before I really knew who Jack Kirby was and even longer before I learned to appreciate him. Once again Jim Beard has brought together an amazing group of writers to discuss a singular subject, in this case, the King, and once again it’s a great, fun time that doesn’t exactly mirror my personal experience but absolutely gets the feeling right. I’ll be seeking out some unread Jack Kirby comics pronto."
