Hey, everyone. I've been on the road the past 4 days. Good, but exhausting. I wanted to share some phots from my two weekend events. I'm putting them all in one post so as not to blow up your email.
I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was fabulous.
On Saturday, I was set up at The Snellville Book Festival in Snellville, GA. This was the first time for this event. There were 89 authors set up. We also had readings and panels (I was ont he mystery/thriller panel). A good time. It was great catching up with friends and meeting new people. Not a huge turnout, but those who came enjoyed themselves. I sold some books and art. It was fun. I picked up my friend, Lori Duff's new thriller novel. Excited to dive into it. I also got to experience my friend, Milton Davis' reaction when a fan of his arrived with a book for him to sign that she brought with her. Trust me, this is a moment in a creator's life that's just too cool. It's a great feeling when that happens.
On Sunday, I was a guest at the Augusta Comic Expo in North Augusta, SC. It was a small comic show and my first time there. There was a steady stream of people by my table. A lot of families. As is becoming the norm, the big sellers of this show was art. The original art bookmarks and door hangers remain a big hit. I heard more than once that they make perfect stocking stuffers. I may have to incorporate that into my marketing. It was a good day. It was cold and rainy, but that didn't keep people away.It was a great weekend on the road, surrounded by creativity.
I loved every second of it.
Bobby
