I love it when a new story idea hits me right between the eyes like a literary ton of bricks. There's nothing like the excitement of discovering the story and characters in that moment.
Unless you're in the middle of tight deadlines. Then... well, then it's a pain in the ass.
Today's new idea, which I really like, has been jotted down and put in the "to write later" file while I get back to the deadlines at hand.
