HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD!

Domino Lady books featuring stories by Bobby Nash.
I'm spending the day helping the Domino Lady catch an assassin in 1930's Hollywood. How cool is that?

Without giving away too much of the plot, Domino Lady is hot on the trail of an assassin who killed popular gubernatorial candidate Douglas Hart. In addition to being a good man with a positive plan for the future of the great state of California, Hart was also the current paramour of the Domino Lady's alter ego, Ellen Patrick.

I haven't come up with a title yet, but this story is for Moonstone's new thriller line of novels and I'm excited to be telling a Domino Lady story in this format. She is such a cool character. Here's a taste of the story in progress.

The Domino Lady burst through the door at full speed.

Vaulting across the three steps that led to the roof’s rock-covered surface, she somehow managed to keep her balance as she sprinted across the roof in a pair of stunningly expensive high heels. She contemplated taking off the shoes, but quickly dismissed the idea as a bad one not only because the rough gravel strewn across the roof would have cut the bottoms of her feet to ribbons, but also because she loved the shoes and didn’t want to chance losing them. The perfect pair of shoes was just important to the Domino Lady persona as the slinky dress, cloak, and black domino mask from which she drew her crime-fighting moniker.

Years of living the life of socialite Ellen Patrick had imparted on her many impressive skills that had come in handy in her line of work, but at that moment the most important of those was the ability to run in heels.

She didn’t have to look back to know that they were after her. The two burly thugs who were chasing her were making no attempt at stealth. Like the proverbial bull in the china shop, they were making enough noise for the Domino Lady to know exactly where they were without turning to look. The bad news was that they were gaining fast.

If you're not familiar with Domino Lady, you can check out some of her adventures I've penned in the short prose (Domino Lady: Sex as a Weapon anthology) and comic book tabs (Domino Lady Vs. Mummy - co-written with Nancy Holder) above. Coming soon is Domino Lady & Sherlock Holmes (also co-written with Nancy Holder).

Have I mentioned lately how much I love this job?

Bobby

I'd suggest changing "just important" to "equally important" for clarity.
