A CHRISTMAS GOODIE...

There's nothing like waking up to find the cover sketch from Jas Ingram for the upcoming Captain Science in Oz! novella I wrote waiting in my inbox. Truly, an awesome Christmas present. Sadly, I can't share anything yet, but damn if it doesn't look good.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

AND SHE RIDES...

It's been a pretty good writing day. I put the finishing touches on a full-cast audio drama script and sent it off to the producer. Fingers crossed they like it. I enjoy writing audio and film scripts. They're fun and a different type of challenge than novels or comics. Thrilled to get the opportunity to write them.

I'll share more details on the plot and story when I'm able.

I still have a novella to complete by year's end. It's doable. Nearing the final acts on it as well. Whew.

Have I mentioned how much I love my job?

Happy Holidays!

New film debut: Watch Starship Sagittarius "Into The Wild" free on YouTube!

Head back to the final frontier in an all-new short film I wrote. Watch the all-new Starship Sagittarius adventure "Into The Wild" HERE or below.

A standard survey mission should have been a literal walk in the park for Captain T’Lema of the Starship Sagittarius. What the landing party hadn’t counted on was finding themselves in the middle of a hunting expedition. Or walking onto a trap. Danger lurks in the wild. Starring Donna Chaney as Captain T'Lema, Clark Bradshaw and Comm Officer David Clark, Teran Sundy as Security Chief Rhys Kellen, and Tina Plunkett as Sciece Officer T'Sov. Guest Starring Matt Roessler as Vanor, Miriam Hall as Annok, and Chrissy Morgan as Commander Veelah. Written by Bobby Nash. Directed and Edited by Randall Landers. VFX by Ross Trowbridge. Music by Dave Stump. Sagittarius Theme by Tony Lunn. Costuming, Makeup an Hairstyling by Blake Andrus, Tina Plunkett, and Matt Roesller. Associate Producers: Michael Day, Kevin Palm, and Ross Trowbridge. Assistant Producers: Donna Chaney, Tom Hagale, and Bobby Nash. Producers: Tina Plunkett, James Weber, Blake Andrus. Co-Executive Producer: Rick Foxx. Executive Producer: Randall Landers. Filmed on Location at Studio 4, Potemkin Pictures, Lexington, Kentucky.

Watch it HERE.

I have a blast writing these scripts. The Potemkin Pictures crew are great folks. It's a thrill to work with them.

More to come.

20 YEARS!

Hard to believe that 2026 will mark 20 years since I wrote my first Domino Lady story, though it would be a few years more before it saw print. I never expected that she and I would still be together all these years later.

I still get a thrill writing Domino Lady and her world. There are a few comic & prose projects in production to release soon-ish. Who knows, maybe I'll get to do another DL novel someday.

She still looks the same. I'm 20 years older and grayer. :)

I was reminded that Lance Star: Sky Ranger debuted in 2006 so next year is the 20th anniversary for this series. Another character I didn't expect to still be writing decades later. There's more high-flying Sky Ranger action coming in 2026.

My first novel, Evil Ways debited in 2025. I'm still writing Harold Palmer, Franklin Palmer, Tom Myers, Benjamin Dooley, Sommersville as well. I love it.

Thanks for taking the journey along with me.

Let's do it again in 2026!

THE WRAP UP-- LET ME TELL YOU A STORY!

I just wanted to take a moment to say a big thank you to the conventions, libraries, stores, organizations, schools, and more who invited me to be part of their literary events this year. I made 40 stops (should have been 44, but I had to cancel 4) on my LET ME TELL YOU A STORY tour. I am humbled and thrilled to have been invited to be part of your communities.

Also, big thanks to those who stopped by my table or panels at these events to say hello or pick up some books and art. You are the reason we do these events. I appreciate it more than I can put into words.

Thank you.

And so my Let Me Tell You A Story 2025 book tour comes to an end. Thanks to the West Cobb Regional Library for inviting me to be part of their Book Fair in Kennesaw, GA. I had a good time catching up with friends.

I also visited a bookstore and comic shop where I picked up some goodies, including a cool Six Million Dollar Man puzzle circa 1975 and The Spirit Casebook from Tempo Books circa 1976. Cool finds.

A new book tour begins in 2026. Stay tuned.

REMEMBER...

Remembering the Attack on Pearl Harbor on this December 7th.

A couple years back, I did a good bit of research on the attack and events leading up to it for an educational graphic novel. That project gave me a greater understanding of this infamous day in history.

Sigh...

I got accused of this so I want to state, for the record, that I do not pay for book reviews. Never have. Never will. I also do not pay for interviews or podcast appearances. I like reviews as much as the next writer, but I'm not going to pay for them. How can I trust a paid review?

Sorry for the mini-rant. Now back to your regularly scheduled social media, already in progress.

"AN EXCITING SERIES!" TOM MYERS' 'IN THE WIND' NABS A NEW 5 STAR READER REVIEW!

We Love Reader Reviews! Big thanks to Josh Hitch for the kind words and 5 Star Amazon review for In The Wind - A Tom Myers Mystery. You can read it HERE or below.

"An Exciting Adventure. Really enjoyed this novella length novel starring small town Sheriff Tom Myers. A safe house is put into use in his county but the FBI and the Marshals failed to tell him. When everything goes wring and the witness that was being guarded is in the wind along with several bad guys looking for him is when Myers finds out about it. He sets up his department to try and find the witness but that is easier said than done in such a large rural area. Plus there is a time limit since the bad guys want to shut up the witness permanently. Highly recommended, well written and fast paced. The characters are well done and Myers is an interesting mix of capable and I'm getting to old for this. Will definitely read what is next for Myers and crew."

Thanks again, Josh.

BURIED TREASURE...

I've been slowing going through my storage and getting rid of stuff cluttering up the garage. Today, I found a nice bit of lost treasure. Some of my college art projects, a button from the Harriette Austin Writers Conference (I really miss her), & copies of Evil Ways (7 paperback, 3 HC) from the original, less than great publisher 20 years ago. Does this make them collectors items? If anyone wants one, let me know. If not, back into storage they go. :)

It's amazing the stuff you find tucked away, huh?

Grab yourself a slice of pizza (don't forget to share with Lucky) and a big pot of coffee and give it a listen right HERE.
