SITTING IN TRAFFIC WITH ESW, MARTHA, AND THE DOCTOR!

I had an amazing time talking with my friends Mike Faber, Mike Gordon, and Mary Ogle on the Earth Station Who podcast tonight. We looked at one of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who, a Doctor and Martha story called "Gridlock."

Look for it to go live soon on ESW's site.

Here's the episode's trailer.

And here's a scene we spend some time on in the podcast.

I'll post more here when it goes live.

EARTH STATION WHO EPISODE 55 – THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR

ESW at Timegate 50th event
After 50 years, The Doctor finally had his day and what a day it was! After the record-breaking global broadcast, the ESW crew celebrated the 50th anniversary with an event co-hosted with TimeGate Convention, Doctor Who: The Forgotten Doctor and DragonCon British Media Track. Mike Faber, Mike Gordon, Jennifer Hartshorn, and the Phantom Troublemaker had a blast sharing initial reactions to The Day of The Doctor special along with the award-winning author Bobby Nash, Beau Brown, Kirby
Bartlett-Sloan, and the main man of the night, Alan Siler. It was an added bonus to hang out with many friends and fans throughout the evening. So much fun, it should be an annual holiday!

HEROES CON WRAP UP

Get your very own Award-Winning Author: Bobby Nash Action Figure!
Only at Heroes Con!
ESO's Bobby, Phantom Troublemaker,
and Mike Gordon
I got back home from Heroes Con this morning. I was only able to attend on Saturday, but it was a long, but fun-filled day. I spent most of the day catching up with friends (way too many to mention everyone here, but it was great talking with everyone), but I also managed to meet several new people as well, which is always nice. There’s a whole lot of talent in Charlotte this weekend. Of course, I was so busy talking I didn't take a lot of photos, but there are a few posted here.

I would also like to send a special get well soon to Yaya Han who had to miss part of the con. Get well soon.

Thanks also to Mike Gordon for carpooling to the con with me.
Heroes swag
Good conversation makes the many miles pass by faster.

And for those who came out for the premiere of The Big Bad: An Anthology of Evil at the con, thank you and I hope you enjoy the book.

Heroes Con is an incredibly fun convention for fans of comic books. A family-friendly atmosphere, there were a lot of kids in attendance and also a lot of fine folks in costume, which is always fun to see. I took a few photos. Click on the images for a larger view.

Thanks to Shelton Drum and his team for another fun show.

See you next year.

Book statue. Too cool.

Heroes has doubled its floor space. Massive.

Too cute. The Doctor and a Dalek.

Always great catching up with talented writer and pal, Vito Delsante.

Too cute, but wouldn't stand still long enough to get a clean photo.

Superman did not like Captain America touching him.

When Bobby, Phantom Troublemaker, and Mike Gordon get together, hilarity ensues..

Who ya gonna call?

Love this back drop.

Earth Station Who Episode 39 – The Name of the Doctor

The final episode of series seven is also the first part of the Doctor’s 50th anniversary special! Mike Faber, Mike Gordon, Phantom Troublemaker, the award winning author Bobby Nash, and Jonathan Thomas (Tardisopia.net) find themselves on Trenzalore facing the Great Intelligence that is Steven Moffat. Though some questions were answered, the ending was a game-changer and only one thing is for certain – it’s going to be a long wait until November 23rd!

This will be my final episode of Earth Station Who for the foreseeable future as writing deadlines make being on 2 podcasts full time all but impossible. However, Mike Faber, Mike Gordon, and The Phantom Troublemaker will continue with new episodes. Next week they will review the TimeGate convention in Atlanta, GA over the Memorial Day Weekend. After the, ESW returns to it’s every other week schedule until new episode resume. I look forward to listening to the episodes.

Earth Station Who Ep 38 – Nightmare in Silver

Resistance may be futile, but this episode has been met with more than its share of it. Mike Faber, Mike Gordon, Phantom Troublemaker, the award winning author Bobby Nash, and Beth Vandusen match wits with Neil Gaiman, Steven Moffat, and Mr. Clever and try to make sense of the penultimate episode of series seven. Perhaps the ESW crew just needs to be upgraded.

Earth Station Who Episode 37 – The Crimson Horror

Diana Rigg
Mike Faber, Mike Gordon, Phantom Troublemaker, the award winning author Bobby Nash, and Jennifer Hartshorn enter the room from which no one returns to review the 100th episode of Doctor Who since its revival. In addition to taking a tour of Sweetville, the ESW crew also discusses some of the recent negative comments regarding the series as it seems they are building up along with all other excitement regarding the 50th anniversary. Internet trolls will not be preserved to survive the apocalypse. So says Mr Sweet.
