Bobby Nash gets Tied Up, Tied Down, and Tied in Knots at Speculative Chic!

Oh, no! I forgot to share the guest post I wrote for Speculative Chic on March 14th (I filled in for my friend, Venessa Giunta, who was recovering from surgery at the time).

Without further ado, and better late than never, I present 'Tied Up, Tied In, and Tied In Knots -- On Media Tie-In Writing with Bobby Nash' HERE as I talk about some of my experiences writing tie-in fiction.

Enjoy.

SPOTTED IN THE WILD!!!

At The Earth's Core Art by Jamie Chase
I popped into Galactic Quest in Buford, GA yesterday and was thrilled to see ‪‎Edgar Rice Burroughs'‬ ‪At The Earth's Core‬ graphic novel on display. This one is by me and Jamie Chase from ‪Sequential Pulp Comics‬ and Dark Horse Comics. I was so excited to see this on shelves.

At Galactic Quest Buford
I was also thrilled to see Zombies Vs. Robots: No Man's Land from IDW Publishing on display as well. This volume features my story, "The Wall" plus many other great Tales, including one by ZVR creator, Chris Ryall It's good stuff. Thanks, Galactic Quest.

At Galactic Quest Buford
I've also visited a few other stores recently where I've found the book and would like to give a shout out to Richard's Comics and Collectables in Greenville, SC and The Rock Shop at The Mall of Georgia in Buford, GA. I do so appreciate the support and I hope the books do well for you. I plan to vitis more shops in the near future.

At Richard's Comics and Collectables
If you see At The Earth's Core (or any of my books) in the wild, feel free to share a photo with me. I'm happy to give the store a shout out.

At The Rock Shop Mall of Georgia
My only regret so far is a personal one. I was so excited to see one of my books in Barnes and Noble and/or Books A Million, but all of the ones I've visited so far have not had it on their shelves. Getting a book with my name on the cover and spine in one of the big book chains has long been a goal of mine. I admit, I was a little disappointed that I can't find one there. It's still a goal so the search continues.

Have a great weekend.

THE SATURDAY ROUNDUP!!!

Happy Saturday!

Okay, I know it's technically Sunday morning already, but Happy Sunday doesn't sound as exciting.
Here's a round up of announcements and assorted odds 'n ends I wanted to share.

The Ghost Gal novel has been completed and sent off to the publisher for editing. Whew. I've had a lot of fun with this novel. It's a nice mix of young adult, horror, and pulpy action. I'm excited to get it out there for everyone to read.

As much fun as it was, there's nothing as exciting as typing every writer's two favorite words: The End. :)

Sometime soon I'll have to start working on the plot for a second Ghost Gal novel. That should be fun. I am enjoying the characters.

My editor released the teaser image above today.

Jamie Chase and Bobby Nash are "digging" deep into Edgar Rice Burroughs' AT THE EARTH'S CORE. Coming your way from Sequential Pulp/Dark Horse Comics.

Now that Ghost Gal is finished, I will be devoting the next several days to finishing up the At The Earth's Core script. We also looked over the cover art and trade dress today. It's good looking stuff. Will share more when I can, but it's still hush hush for now.

And then it's back to Honey West/Domino Lady for Moonstone, which I let lag to catch up on other projects. After that is a newly acquired graphic novel project I can't say much about yet as well as some shorts for another publisher.

Oh, and I was approached by a publisher I've worked with before about a new project earlier tonight. Nothing I can talk about as yet, but it sounds like it could be fun. I had a similar offer from another publisher I've worked with before last week as well. It looks like 2014 continues to be a busy one. I just have to remember to schedule a week off for vacation.

I was giving Snow Falls some love on social media earlier today so i thought I would share it here too.
Looking for an action-packed read this week? Check out Snow Falls, the first Abraham Snow adventure by Bobby Nash. Now available as an ebook at Bookxy. This is another one where I will need to start thinking up the story for book #2 soon.

New/restocked for conventions
Next weekend, I'll be at the Middle Georgia Comicon. I was able to restock some books for the con. This will also be the first show where I have copies of IDW's Zombies Vs. Robots: No Man's Land on hand.

I'm sure there's more I should be talking about, but I'm tired and ready to call it a night.

Don't forget to set your clocks ahead tonight. We're losing an hour, which sucks. I'm on deadline. I need that darn hour.  :)

Sweet dreams.

Bobby

SUNDAY! SUNDAY!! SUNDAY!!! LET'S GET THIS WEEK STARTED!

This has been one heckuva few days.

I mean that in the best possible way, of course. The announcement of my scripting a graphic novel adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' At The Earth's Core for Dark Horse Comics' Sequential Pulp Comics Imprint was big news and I'm really excited to get started on that one. As you can imagine, I've used the word "excited" a lot the past few days.

Today, a work for hire project that had fallen on the back burner at the publisher's end a few months ago moved back to the forefront today so I will have that added back to my schedule as well, which is cool. I can't say too much about it at the moment, but will as soon as I'm able.

In stores Feb. 26
Between those two projects and Ghost Gal and Honey West/Domino Lady, both of which are also in novels in process, and Operation: Silver Moon, a graphic novel also in production, not to mention Snow Falls and Zombies Vs. Robots: No Man's Land hitting stores in February, plus other things like edits, proofs, interviews, signings, conventions, and podcasts already scheduled (with more coming), the next few months are going to be really busy.

Available in February
I hope this doesn't sound like complaining as it isn't. I love it. Just wanted to let you know why there may be a few lapses in posting in the coming weeks. I'll try to keep the site updated regularly, but I might miss a day here and there. There is a new Sometimes I Get Asked Stuff... column coming in a day or two. It's written. I just need to pull some images and links.

These are exciting times, my friends.

Now I just have to figure out when to sleep.

Bobby
