I had a wonderful time at Halloween Comicfest​ yesterday at the Rock Shop​ Mall of Georgia. Special thanks to Brad, Elaine, Hope, Tyler, and Christie for making me feel so welcome and for a great event.

SPOTTED IN THE WILD!!!

At The Earth's Core Art by Jamie Chase

I popped into Galactic Quest​ in Buford, GA yesterday and was thrilled to see ‪‎Edgar Rice Burroughs'‬ ‪At The Earth's Core‬ graphic novel on display. This one is by me and Jamie Chase from ‪Sequential Pulp Comics‬ and Dark Horse Comics​. I was so excited to see this on shelves.

I was also thrilled to see Zombies Vs. Robots: No Man's Land from IDW Publishing​ on display as well. This volume features my story, "The Wall" plus many other great Tales, including one by ZVR creator, Chris Ryall​ It's good stuff. Thanks, Galactic Quest.

I've also visited a few other stores recently where I've found the book and would like to give a shout out to Richard's Comics and Collectables in Greenville, SC and The Rock Shop at The Mall of Georgia in Buford, GA. I do so appreciate the support and I hope the books do well for you. I plan to vitis more shops in the near future.

My only regret so far is a personal one. I was so excited to see one of my books in Barnes and Noble and/or Books A Million, but all of the ones I've visited so far have not had it on their shelves. Getting a book with my name on the cover and spine in one of the big book chains has long been a goal of mine. I admit, I was a little disappointed that I can't find one there. It's still a goal so the search continues.

CELEBRATE THE KING OF COMICS’ BIRTHDAY AND HELP OUT SOME HEROES-- KIRBY 4 HEROES AT BORDERLANDS SATURDAY, AUGUST 29TH

I don't sketch often, but when I do, it’s for a good cause.

Along with artists far more talented than me, I will be sketching for charity on Saturday August 29th at Borderlands Comics and Games for the Kirby4Heroes event to benefit the Heroes Initiative in Greenville, SC. I hope you'll join us. Also, if you've never been to Borderlands Comics and Games before, you're in for a treat. This is a great store run by my friend, Robert Young. It is definitely worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.

About the event:

Come out and celebrate the life of Jack Kirby, King of Comics!

We will be raising money to benefit the Hero Initiative in honor of Jack Kirby's birthday to help comic creators in need. This is a great chance to give back to the creators who have given us the heroes we love. The shop will be donating a percentage of sales on Saturday, August 29th as well as doing other fundraisers to help benefit this great charity. Learn more about the Kirby4Heroes Initiative here. IT'S A BRAVE NEW WORLD!

On Saturday, September 8, writer Michael Gordon and I traveled to High Point, North Carolina for the grand opening celebration for New World Comics. The event was a blast. It was a thrill to not only meet some interesting people, but to see the store packed with families and kids. Kids in a comic book shop. I like that.

It was a fun day. I'd like to thank Michael Wilson for inviting us up to join the festivities. I wish your store much success.
