CHUCK'S COMIC OF THE DAY BLOG GIVES OPERATION: SILVER MOON A GRADE A REVIEW!

A Big Thank You to Chuck at Chuck's Comic of the Day blog for his kind words and nice review of Operation: Silver Moon. You can read the full review HERE and below.

Physical copies of comics may be difficult to land right now, but luckily we can still order graphic novels or tap into digital comics (and there are signs that the comics shop shutdown may be ending soon. Maybe.) Here's a recent graphic novel that has a lot of fun with some classic horror movie tropes - it's called Operation: Silver Moon.

Set during World War II, it follows a special American agent named Lupus who has a distinct advantage over the Nazis he faces: he's also a werewolf!

This has the wonderful advantage of allowing him to cut loose violently against some truly terrible opponents! And when the bad guys track down a powerful mystical weapon in the Carpathian Mountains, Lupus finds himself squaring off against both Nazis - and a powerful vampire!

The story by Author Bobby Nash provides lots of action and just enough humor (and yes, humanity) to keep the main character likable and relatable.

The art is by Rick Johnson, and there are flashes of brilliance in there as he draws in a style that seems to be influenced by Paul Gulacy. He keeps the action fast and furious and always in motion!

The graphic novel is a fun mix of genres with enough plot twists to keep you on your toes, and all the action you'd expect if you caught this story at a movie theater! Recommended! Grade: A

You can get your very own copy of Operation: Silver Moon HERE. Available in paperback and ebook. Read it FREE with your Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Happy Reading.

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! NIGHTVEIL: CRISIS AT THE CROSSROADS OF INFINITY NABS 5 STARS ON GOODREADS!

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! Big Thanks to Dale Russell for his kind words and 5-STAR review of my novel, NIGHTVEIL: CRISIS AT THE CROSSROADS OF INFINITY from Pro Se Productions on GoodReads.

Says Dale: "Laura Wright really only wanted to enjoy a nice peaceful day at the beach. No worries... No fighting world threatening supervillains... just a few minutes of time to herself. Unfortunately, life finds a way and soon Laura is in the fight of her life...a fight that will take her to confront the most powerful opponent she has ever faced...Herself!!!

Writer Bobby Nash dives into the world of superheroes and villains and their universe threatening (in this case MULTI-UNIVERSE threatening) battles. Bobby first discovered the character of Nightveil in the 1980s while still in high school and immediately fell in love with her. As he developed into the author that he is today, he always wanted to be able to translate that love into a published adventure. Unfortunately, the opportunity never presented itself until PRO SE Publications brought in several authors and announced that they were going to be publishing a series of novels based on the characters in the AC Comics universe. Nash immediately "called dibs" as he states, and the rest is history.

In this, Bobby's love and passion for the character comes through as he spins a story that reads as if it were straight out of the pages of his favorite comics.

This is a stand alone novel, and, while having read and enjoyed the many comic adventures about the Nightveil character will add color and depth to your understanding of the hero, this book stands on its own and can be enjoyed by any reader new to Laura Wright and her costumed persona."

You can also read the full review HERE.

Have questions about Nightveil or this novel? GoodReads has a leave a question section at the link. I'd be thrilled to answer your questions.

AT THE EARTH'S CORE GETS A NEW SUNNY 5 STAR REVIEW!

Huge thanks to reader J. Martin for leaving the kind words and 5-STAR Amazon review of Dark Horse Comics' graphic novel adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' At The Earth's Core by Bobby Nash and Jamie Chase. It is appreciated.

Art: Jamie Chase
"If you are an Edgar Rice Burroughs fan but don't have this graphic novel version of "At the Earth's Core," it's worth it to obtain one. Bobby Nash condensed ERB's story to mesh with the illustrations of Jamie Chase and together they place ERB's inner world before the reader's eyes in a manner that is just about the way I pictured it in my imagination while reading ERB's original."

5 STARS FOR SNOW FALLS AUDIO!

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS! A Big Thank You to Darrell Grizzle for his kind words and 5 STAR review of SNOW FALLS on Audio.

"A fast-paced action novella that introduces us to Abraham Snow, a spy who tries to retire after recovering from an almost-fatal bullet shot – but circumstances (and his family) conspire to keep him from doing so. Snow’s grandfather Archer Snow is an amazing character! DragonCon fans will recognize the Atlanta hotel where most of the action takes place. Stuart Gauffi, the Audible narrator, has a great voice for this story. Highly recommended!"

DEADLY GAMES! GETS NEW 4 STAR REVIEW ON GOODREADS!

A super huge thank you to author Adam Mitchell for his kind 4 STAR Goodreads review of my novel, DEADLY GAMES! I'm honored by the comparison to Lawrence Block. Glad you enjoyed the book. You can read Adam's full review HERE and below.

THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN NO SPOILERS SORRY!
Well what can I say about this book, there's twists galore in this read, i managed to knock it during a train journey and well it kept me going through the madness of platform changes, and worse...other passengers! What stuck me most was the writing style maybe its just me but Nash has a very 'Lawrence Block' vibe to his writing, which is nice to see now Crime and Thriller fiction in my eyes is becoming very linear and placid at times. In fact at times if i didn't know this was a Bobby Nash book i could have swore the characters stepped out of a Block book and into the pages of Nash's fictional world. So yes the characters were stars of the book, but it was the pace and edge to the writing that sold it for me.

Get this copy now i will say for my taste it's a tad pricey but then again, it's worth every penny be it a kindle copy or extra special paperback. So on the whole WELL DONE!

SANDERSON OF METRO NETS A NEW 5 STAR READER REVIEW!

We love reader reviews! Huge thanks to Marcus Bucklin for his kind words and 5 STAR Amazon review for The Wraith novel, Sanderson of Metro by Frank Dirscherl and Bobby Nash. You can find it now on Amazon HERE. Only $13.58 in paperback.

Marcus says: Let’s talk about SANDERSON OF METRO by Frank Dirscherl and Bobby Nash and published by Trinity Comics. This one took me a little longer to read than past WRAITH volumes, but I think part of that was I was subconsciously taking my time because I was enjoying the novel so much. This book is at its heart an origin story, but not the typical origin story, if you’re familiar with the WRAITH’S lore and the character of PAUL SANDERSON. The writing is great and well edited, and even though it lacks some of the typical Dirscherl style, the novel is still a great work of Neo Pulp/Superhero fiction worthy of any collection. Dirscherl and Nash need to be applauded for collaborating on a fantastic prequel novel that answers many lingering questions many readers may have had about the history of the WRAITH. The book is well plotted and the pacing is perfect, even when the narrative is jumping back and forth in time. At the end of the day, this novel is a worthy addition to the WRAITH’S continuing story and a necessary purchase if you’re a fan of the character. It’s also just a flat out enjoyable reading experience. What more could you ask for in a Neo Pulp/Superhero novel? Definitely look out for this book if you’re a fan of THE SPIDER, THE SHADOW, or BATMAN comics made around the 70’s and 80’s. 5/5 stars.

Thanks again, Marcus.

AT THE EARTH'S CORE GETS A 5 STAR REVIEW AT GOODREADS... SALE AT IN STOCK TRADES...

WE LOVE READER REVIEWS!

A big thank you to Vishualee for the kind words and 5 STAR GoodReads review of Dark Horse ComicsEdgar Rice Burroughs' At The Earth's Core graphic novel adaptation written by Bobby Nash and illustrated by Jamie Chase. It is appreciated.

"A Big Thank You to Vishualee for the kind words and 5 STAR GoodReads review of Edgar Rice Burrough's At The Earth's Core. A heart-pounding adventure! There are so many things awaiting us in the world of Pellucidar. What fascinated me was Pellucidar itself, unbenownst to us, there is a thriving environment below our earth. I have previously read about the hollow earth theory, watched movies like the Lost World and Dinotopia, then read Journey to the centre of the Earth. But none of them were as exciting as reading this book. There are some parts that amused me, such as Dian the beautiful introduces herself in English. The other humans speak in English. We are made to believe that the hero, David learns their language. Secondly, we see David sobbing as he says to himself that we are only food to the reptilian creatures. A thought crossed my mind about how we, in real life, treat other animals as food. It's just the tables had turned in Pellucidar."

Thanks again for the kind words.

I recently picked up this Dark Horse Comics rendition of, At The Earth's Core, and I LOVED IT. Bobby Nash and Jamie Chase created a truly immersive experience. 5 STARS FOR SHADOWS ON THE HORIZON

A Big Round O' Thanks to author Darrell Grizzle for his amazing 5 STAR review of my latest release, Shadows on the Horizon. Now on sale in paperback and ebook from BEN Books! Get yours today!  You can read the full review HERE or below.

"Two very different Western stories from a master of pulp fiction! The first, Shadows on the Horizon, is a traditional Old West tale of betrayal and vengeance. The main character, Doc Brand, has reinvented himself after a violent past and finds himself reinventing himself again. I hope we see more stories about John Brand! The second story, Rattled, is a Weird West horror story that genuinely gave me the creeps in its description of a den of rattlesnakes that turns out to be more than meets the eye. The collection ends with a short essay on Westerns by Bobby Nash. Recommended for fans of Westerns and horror!"

Thanks again, Darrell. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. It means a lot.

DERRICK FERGUSON GOES 5 ROUNDS WITH BAREFOOT BONES!

A big Thank You to my friend, Derrick Ferguson for his kind words about Fightcard: Barefoot Bones. You can read Derrick's thoughts in their entirety HERE.

THIS IS HOW IT STARTS: If the daytime Soap Opera ever makes a comeback, Bobby Nash could give up writing thrillers, New Pulp action adventures, science fiction and make a good living writing for them.

This was a tough book to write. I loved doing it, but boy do I put "Bones" through hell in this story. Finally, my M*A*S*H knowledge paid off. It came in handy when writing 1951 Korea. Ha! Ha!

MAMA TRIED TO GET 5 STARS! SHE SUCCEEDED!

Big outlaw thanks to Paul R. McNamee for leaving a great 5 STAR review for the MAMA TRIED crime anthology published by Down and Out Books. Much appreciated. Read the full review at HERE.

MAMA TRIED is a strong and inspired crime fiction anthology with variety
Joe Lansdale prefaced one of his most famous horror stories with a note that is was "a story that does not flinch."

Although Lansdale is not in this anthology, I think that concept and spirit permeate this anthology. These stories do not flinch. They dig into criminal worlds, telling taut stories that kept me engaged throughout.

As you can see from the cover, each story here is inspired by a classic "outlaw country" song - whether by title alone or riffing on the lyrics as well. The tales run the gamut from law enforcement point-of-view to criminal p.o.v. Criminals within criminals, good cops who might use questionable methods, meth biker gangs, alpaca farms, dog fights, booze running, war veterans, jobs and drug deals gone wrong, lovers who are no good for one another - they're all here. One of the anthology's strongest points is its variety.

These nineteen tales of inspired outlawry are well worth the read, especially if you enjoy crime fiction and/or outlaw country.

I had a great time working on this one.

COLLABORATING WITH OTHER WRITERS-- THE RUBY FILES EDITION!

Sean Taylor talks a bit about co-creating The Ruby Files together at his blog. Check out The Writer Will Take Your Questions Now #333 -- Collaborating With Other Writers here.

Creating Rick Ruby and his world with Sean was a lot of fun. We wrote a pretty lengthy essay about it that appears in The Ruby Files Vol. 1. I remember we were sitting in a crowded restaurant talking about all things Rick Ruby while the people at nearby tables were pretending not to eavesdrop. It was a fun evening.

Collaborating with other writers can be fun. Michael Gordon and I collaborated on the Strong Will graphic novel that will be available next year and Stuart Jaffe and I are in the early stages of creating a comic book project together now. More on that when I can share it.

It was the 1930s and America was locked in the grip of the Great Depression. Gangsters controlled the major cities while outlaws roamed the rural back country. It was a time of Speak Easy gin-joints, Tommy-guns, fast cars and even faster dames. This is the world of New York based Private Investigator Rick Ruby, a world he is all too familiar with. From the back alleys of Gotham to the gold laden boulevards of Hollywood, Ruby is the shamus with a nose for trouble and an insatiable appetite for justice. So if you’ve got a taste for hot lead and knuckle sandwiches, tug your cuffs, adjust your fedora and light up a Lucky, a brand new pulp detective is coming your way.

Created by pulp masters, Bobby Nash and Sean Taylor, Rick Ruby echoes the tales of Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe while offering up his own brand of two-fisted action. Joined by fellow pulp smiths Andrew Salmon & William Patrick Maynard, these modern scribes of purple prose present a quartet of tales to delight any true lover of private eye fiction. This instant classic features a gorgeous Mark Wheatley cover and eight evocative black and white illustrations by Rob Moran.

This is a book that harkens back to the classic black and white Warner Brothers gangster movies that featured James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson to name a few.
