Real world locations sometimes inform my writing. I recently wrote a wonderful conversation scene and the characters were sitting on a bench in front of a gazebo in a small park-like area in a small town.
Since I live in a small town that has one of those, I used it as reference to describe the area. I even snapped a photo for my reference files. The one change I made was adding a metal bench just off the sidewalk next to it.
This project is in the early stages of development and I'm enjoying getting to know these new characters. This story is not connected to anything I've written before.
