BUSY DAY!
Today was a busy day.
I did some writing on my Fight Card novel, Barefoot Bones, some promoting, and some other writing-related work. Plus, The Big Bad: An Anthology of Evil was released for Kindle today and an interview with me was posted on-line to boot.
Whew. You can see links to all of that in the posts below if you'd like to check it out.
More work on Friday before heading off to Con Carolinas on Saturday and the Marietta Comic Con on Sunday. Looks to be a busy weekend too. However, it’s going on 3 a.m. so I think it’s time to call it a night.
Until tomorrow…

DARK OAK UNLEASHES THE BIG BAD!
About The Big Bad: An Anthology of Evil:
Everybody loves bad guys, and these are some of the baddest of them all. Forget the rules. There aren't any heroes. No one is going to save you from the wickedness in the darkness. Monster hunters can easily become the hunted. Twisted perverts can find themselves on the receiving end of their own deviant desires. No matter how big and bad someone or something may be, there is always something bigger and badder just waiting. Even the classics like a dragon, werewolf, or supernatural being can fall victim to something even more evil. Take a peek, if you dare, inside the malevolent world of super-villains, monsters, demons and just plain evil folk. Be careful, what you see there might be disturbingly familiar...
My story in this volume is called “Lowlife.”
When Jack Sebastian walked out of prison there was nothing waiting for him but a long stretch of empty road and a long walk in triple digit temps under a blazing sun. When the old man offered him a ride he dared not refuse. That decision was the start of the longest ride of Jack Sebastian’s life.
The Big Bad: An Anthology of Evil is now available on Amazon for your Kindle. Get your copy here for only $2.99.
The official launch of The Big Bad: An Anthology of Evil will be this weekend at Con Carolinas in Charlotte, NC. Several of the authors will be on hand for the weekend. I will be there on Saturday to share in the festivities.

Earth Station One Episode 165 – On The Road with ESO
Phantom Troublemaker auditions for the role of The Doctor's enemy, The Master. |
The Earth Station One crew attended two very cool conventions over the Memorial Day weekend. Mike Faber and Jennifer Hartshorn were guests at TimeGate along with fellow ESO Network personalities Dr. Scott (Doctor Geeks Laboratory), Jason and Rita (Transmissions from Atlantis), Debbie Viguie (The Thirteenth Hour), and Phantom Troublemaker (Earth Station Who). They found time to interview the amazing Moxie Magnus and there’s a rumor going around that they even met (and wrestled with) a Doctor! Meanwhile, Mike Gordon and the award-winning author Bobby Nash crossed state lines for the Alabama Phoenix Festival, where they met up with Joe Crowe (RevolutionSF podcast) and finally tied Van Allen Plexico (White Rocket podcast) to The Geek Seat!
As if that wasn't enough, Mike F., Bobby, and Jen attended the Atlanta premiere of Now You See Me, a new movie opening May 31. We give a spoiler-free review of the movie. Here's a hint: we liked it.
Join us for yet another episode of The Earth Station One Podcast we like to call: On The Road with ESO at www.esopodcast.com

TAKE BOBBY TO THE BEACH!
Not literally, of course. Although, I love a good beach trip and I am sadly long overdue for one.
I worked up some new ads and thought I'd share them here.
I thought these novels might make for good beach reading.
Thoughts?
Bobby
UPDATE: In addition to creating ads I also got some writing done today. More tomorrow, but since it's after midnight I think it's time for a break. Whew.

ALABAMA PHOENIX FESTIVAL WRAP UP
Bobby's table |
Bobby was on hand for the 2013 Alabama Phoenix Festival in Birmingham, Alabama on May 24 - 26.
I cannot say enough good things about this convention or the people who run it. There are a lot of cons out there that could learn a thing or two about running a show from Tim, Steve, Stan, and their team. These guys know how to take care of their guests and make sure everyone is taken care of and that anything we need we're covered. I've worked cons where I never even see the people running it. At least once a day (usually more) I saw all of them, not to mention Maree, who handles the marketing. Just a great group.
As for Friday night, oh my goodness, I cannot remember the last time I laughed that much. And, as so many things are, it's all Sean Taylor's fault. If you've not seen the footage from the author guests doing Who's Line Is It Anyway? you will if you keep scrolling. Van, Sean, myself, and the other guests might right fools out of ourselves... and loved every minute of it. On Saturday, we performed the old time radio show, X-1. That was another fun panel too. However, I am beginning to grow concerned that Sean keeps assigning me female roles to perform.
All in all, this con was aces. I'm going through the photos now and will have something posted to my website sometime today. I had a great time. Thanks to all who came out to the show and said hello.
Here a few photos.

It just wouldn't be a convention without a little tomfoolery, or in our case, seanfoolery(TM).
PULP FICTION PANEL
Bobby Nash and Sean Taylor were joined by authors Charis Taylor (yeah, they're related) and Van Allen Plexico.
WHO'S LINE IS IT ANYWAY?
Sean Taylor hosted the evening festivities as Van Allen Plexico, Kimberly Richardson, Allan Gilbreth, Allen Hammack, M.B. Weston, and Bobby Nash were tortured, tormented, and embarrassed. Rumor has it that Sean has started sleeping with one eye open after this event.
Thanks to Mike Gordon for the photos.

WHAT DO YOU THINK, GEOFFREY?
While there, Bobby and Sean couldn't help but take this photo with the stand up of their friend, Geoffrey Gwin, accompanied by their signature line, of course. If you've ever been to this show, you've probably heard the story. If not, ask Sean or Bobby next time you see them at a show.
And finally, just a few other shots from the weekend.
Thanks again to the staff, crew, and all involved with the Alabama Phoenix Festival. A special shout out to Steve, Tim, Stan, and Maree for taking such good care of us. You put on a great show.
