Table Talk: creative envy
Table Talk returns to http://www.newpulpfiction.com/. This week Bobby, Barry, and Mike discuss creative envy.
Someone coined the term "creative envy" a while back in response to seeing the intellectual property of another and wishing they'd come up with it first. Most, if not all creators have a particular character or property they wish they'd thought up first. This week Barry Reese, Bobby Nash and Mike Bullock discuss creative envy and take a look at their own properties they wish they had time to fully realize.

LAST STOP by Bobby Nash and Daniele Serra
Daniele Serra is a fantastic artist who I first worked with on the Fantastix graphic novel (which you can still pick up by visiting http://www.indyplanet.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=3055 if you'll forgive the shameless plug). Dani and I also pitched a thriller comic that unfortunately never found a publishing home (I'm contemplating using the plot as the basis for a novel, but that's a story for another day). You can learn more about Dani and check out his work at http://www.multigrade.it/.
We also did the 5 page story pasted below called "Last Stop" for Mark Millar's open call for shorts for CLINT Magazine. Last stop was originally posted on the Millarworld forums, but nothing else happened so I thought it would be great to share here. After the story I've attached the original script for those interested in such things.
I hope you enjoy Last Stop. Dani's artwork is truly magnificent on it.

The original script for Last Stop by Bobby Nash
The Fantastix graphic novel by Bobby Nash and Daniele Serra is still available at http://www.indyplanet.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=3055.
About Fantastix:
1966. Project Code Red is launched with the goal of creating super spies designed to protect the United States and her citizens. It fails. Instead of perfect agents, Project Code Red inadvertently unleashes a chain reaction that leads to the formation of a race of super humans. A race addicted to the designer drug originally given to their parents and grandparents. Fantastix.
1971. Haven, a vast criminal organization bent on world domination is born.
2006. The world’s greatest super hero is dead. As the world mourns the loss of Dominus, former super hero and Fantastix addict, Rob Temple finds himself on the run. He stumbles onto a Haven plot that catapults him into a cat and mouse game where the stakes are life and death, not just his, but for the others like him.
Haven has declared that all meta-humans must die.
