THE FIRST THREE...

Over on Facebook, author Steven Paul Leiva has tagged me in the latest of the writer's chain letter posts. I have been asked to share the first three lines of the first three chapters of a book in progress. I am currently working on Evil Intent so here you go…

Opening (no chapter #)
“I still see him coming.”

“Is he walking?”

“Yes. Walking straight toward me as if it were the most normal thing. Casual.

Ch. 1
Harold Palmer felt a chill as he stepped into the brisk, February evening.

He was relieved to be out of that office. Although he knew better, he could have sworn that the walls had begun to close in on him during the session.

Ch. 2
“We interrupt this program for an important announcement.”

“Good evening ladies and gentlemen,” the man on the television screen said. “I’m Herbert Rothfield for CMN. Earlier this evening we received word that recent peace initiatives in the Middle East have failed.

I'm suppose to tag 10 other writers, but I’ll skip that part. If you’re interested in doing this, go for it.

Also, I couldn't let the opportunity pass to mention that Evil Ways is still on sale in paperback and ebook formats. Here's more about it:

EVIL WAYS
A novel by Bobby Nash

Evil’s coming...
Don’t look back!

FBI Agent Harold Palmer needed a relaxing vacation. All he wanted was to travel to Sommersville, Georgia to visit his brother, newspaper publisher and reporter, Franklin Palmer. He should have known better.

The graduating class of 2002 have returned to Sommersville for their ten year high school reunion, timed to coincide with the annual Sommersville Autumn Festival.  Classmates coming from all over to reconnect, retell old stories, and have a great time reminiscing.

The discovery of a brutally murdered young lady with a connection to the local police, coupled with a rowdy high school reunion and the annual Autumn Festival has Sommersville Sheriff Tom Myers and his deputies overwhelmed.

Agent Palmer finds himself on the trail of a killer who preys on the fears of his victims. His next targets are the unsuspecting members of the reunited class of ‘02.

They should fear his EVIL WAYS.

This re-release edition of Evil Ways by Author Bobby Nash kicks off the beginning of a new series of suspense thrillers starring FBI Special Agent Harold Palmer.

It all starts here.

OH MY GOD! SHE KILLED WOLVERINE!

On Sunday, I decided to share some of my favorite comics.

Uncanny X-Men #177 was the first issue of X-Men I owned. The cover grabbed me and I had to get the book just to see what happened next.

Uncanny X-Men #177 was the first issue of X-Men I owned. As cool as the cover was, the first 3 pages really grabbed me when Mystique killed Wolverine. I was hooked and read the X-Men for several years after that. I even went back and picked up older issues to see what I had missed. And brother, had I missed a lot.

There was some great reading in this era.

I found these scans while surfing The Marvel Comics of The 1980's Tumblr. You should check it out. A nice flashback.

A LAZY SUNDAY? YEAH! RIGHT!

Managed to get some writing accomplished last night. I spent some time early on Sunday working on a comic script and updating my websites and social media before jumping into a tie-in novel featuring an existing character.

It's always fun, and a little nerve-wracking to write a character I didn't create, but I have written this character before so that helps take some of the edge off. I can't say much about it yet as the publisher has not announced the project. As soon as I can say more, I'll share it here.

I had planned to take a break in the evening to see Jurassic World, but the movie was sold out at my local theater for several shows. Guess I'll have to watch Chris Pratt fight dinosaurs another day. This is probably for the best as I still had a lot of writing to do Sunday evening.

I hope you had a great weekend.

You can hear the full episode here.

SO, YOU THINK YOU CAN WRITE?

The Spitfire Sanction! I wonder who Domino Lady is teaming up with this time.
Managed to get some writing done after getting home from work this evening. I'm beat though so I think a little TV then calling it a night. More writing ahead of me tomorrow.
The image above is just the smallest of teases from the latest Domino Lady Threesome script.

Tonight's lesson: "Get the LED out and write, Nash!"
Led Zeppelin provided the soundtrack for tonight's writing. I don't create playlists. I hit shuffle on the music I burned onto the computer, tune in iHeartRadio, or put YouTube on. I can usually find the right music to spur me on and help keep away the distractions.

Came in handy with tonight's writing.

I hope you're having a great weekend.

BOBBY PAYS A VISIT TO HELL'S KITCHEN!

I joined the ESMCU crew to talk about Daredevil.
-----
In our 20th episode, John and Jennifer are joined by Bobby Nash and Jp Patrick to dissect the first half of Marvel's first Netflix series, Daredevil. What made it so successful? Does binge watching make a difference in how you tell a story? And what lengths would JP go to, to get Rosario Dawson's phone number?
Please note that we recorded this episode BEFORE Jon Bernthal was announced as the new Punisher, so our lengthy discussion about Jason Statham is all the more amusing now.

Give it a listen here or here.
