Earth Station One Episode 122: Blockbuster – The Summer Movies of 1982

This week, the ESO crew travels back to a time before texts, tweets, and Twilight. A wondrous age when nearly every trip to the movie theater was a viewing of a future classic. Blade Runner, ET – The Extra-Terrestrial, The Dark Crystal, Tron, First Blood, Conan the Barbarian, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and many more made their debut that year. Mike, Mike, Bobby, and guests Derrick Ferguson, Dr. Scott Viguie, and award-winning artist Mark Maddox try to name them all, but one name keeps rising to the top of the list – KHAAAAAAANNNN!!!

Next on Earth Station One...

There are two kinds of people in this world, my friend. Those who are Clint Eastwood and those who enjoy Clint Eastwood movies. We enjoy.

That’s right, next week, the ESO crew continues its look at film directors by tackling an American icon, writer/actor/director Clint Eastwood.

ESO wants to hear from you. What are your favorite Clint Eastwood movies and why? Let us know at www.esopodcast.com, at the ESO Facebook Group, @EarthStationOne on Twitter, email us at esopodcast@gmail.com, or call us at 404-963-9057. We might just read yours on the show. Plus, join us for the usual rants, raves, shout outs, and Mike’s Khan Report! It’s going to be an action-packed episode next week at Earth Station One.
