SURVEILLANCE By Bobby Nash and James Burns

Time for another free comic book story. My Lance Star: Sky Ranger "One Shot!" artist, James Burns and I worked up this short piece called Surveillance for the open call for comics for CLINT Magazine.

Unfortunately, the comics didn't seem to make it past being posted on their website. A modified version may see print elsewhere in the future, but for now I thought you might enjoy this story. It's a bit different from the style of story I normally write. Click on each page for a larger view.

I was intrigued by the notion of someone being under constant surveillance and how that would happen. Having each panel be a still taken from some sort of surveillance camera or computer screen seemed like a good way to accomplish this. Then, having the two doctors (whom we never see) talking so dispassionately about their subject as if he were just some lab animal gave it a little extra layer. James, as usual, knocked it out of the park. You can check out more of James' work at http://jamesburnsdesign.com/comics.

I hope you enjoyed Surveillance.

Thanks, Jim. Is that Archer, the animated show on FX? I've heard of it, but not seen it. Will have to check that out.
